Re: Looking to buy a bike for long term use

In my experience, Yamaha service centers are much better than most others and seem to do what we ask them to do.

I have fz-s v1 and so know how smooth the bike is. And now with added FI system, it will be even more smoother and easy to ride.

    Ride safe and have fun.

True. FZ-S/16/Fazer are super smooth bikes and best to ride in 150cc segment. I am inclined to purchase FZ-S. But two things are bothering me. One is, low fuel economy(one of my friend own fazer and another one owns FZ-16, they are getting like <35km/l in city) and the other one is price. If I add few thousand rupees then I will get bigger CC engine.

Currrently, I am trying to figure out if 2 lakh can be arranged to get CBR250 or not. If not, then I will probably settle with either FZ-S or Unicorn 160.

It's similar to my case, sold my pulsar 135, main reason for selling being the VIBRATIONS and purchased pulsar 180. Now it feels like am riding real pulsar! My suggestion, try pulsar 180.

FZ V2.0 should not be that bad as the FE has been taken care of to some extent. And the price difference is due to the FI system. Even for 125cc Glamour and Stunner, the FI versions cost a few thousand bucks than the regular ones.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Yamahas are quite common these days. So are the Hondas. Why not try the Gixxer .... Ain't that bad ( Japanese after all !!! )

Gixxer, any day a better alternative. Go for it, totally.
