  • Help Me choose My Ride

Hi,I am going to buy my first motorcycle. I have a budget of 80k. I can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t really decide which one to go for. I don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t want a powerful one because this is my first one and I am not a good rider. I will be using this for about 10-15 kms everyday and 50kms occasionally. Here is my wish list 1.Suzuki Gixxer2. Yamaha FZ v1.0 (old one, I don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t really like the look of the new one)3.Honda Unicorn4.Apache RTR 1805.Honda DioWhich is the best that would suit best for my needs? Any other suggestions? BTW I live in kerala, 18 year old, 5.3 inch high Thanks in advance Edit Sorry for the mistake. I am 5ft 7inch.Today my father told me to consider buying a Royal Enfield. He love that thing and I don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t. The bike would be shared by me and him. Is it worth considering a RE? I have no idea about their models and how good they perform. If I consider it, Which is the best one for me in RE models?

    Query Approved

    The Honda Dio why?

I assume you mean 5\'3\" and not 5.3 inches The Apache is probably the best bike for shorter riders. On the other hand if you find it comfortable, i would recommend a test ride between the Gixxer, FZ V2.0 (it has Fi) and the recently launched Unicorn 160.

All the best with your search.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Honda Dio seems a little out of the option when compared compared to the others...Since your height is a little on the shorter side..I am 5\'7\" by the way(which is short too
Apache should suit your height , but a little powerful when compared to the others...IMO due to the throttle response. But it should be a great start for you into biking.

The FZ V1.0 should be a good bike for a first timer due to the excellent grip and handling. You can also have a look at SS125 which is a very smooth and reliable bike and does the job without much ado. Has decent high end power and top speed. Though it\'s a 125 cc, still you won\'t be having any problems even during long rides.
Apart from that, Unicorn is an evergreen machine with a solid body. Gixxer can also be a good option since it has got positive reviews so far.
