As mentioned by Aryan bhaiya, the pulsar is too common . With the Yamaha ,you get new technology, very handsome cosmetics plus a very good performer too!! but the 7-8k price difference may look a bit steep but its definately worth it!No Nonsense Biker.

if mileage is major concern go for pulsar it will give 10 km/pl approx extra, FZ is a mean machine i have it and i rev it from 3rd gear on as low as 10km/hr speeds and it picks up, but i am gear shifter so i prefer shifting, also FZ handles pretty slick.
The only thing is lack of crash guard may make u feel low on confidence for few days. But breaks and balance are nice, i have had sudden breaks once bike wobbles less than pulsar.
Also it has nice accessory option. IF u look at digi console both are almost same except for RPM one, both do no display gear shift and all.
Also FZ is lighter than pulsar.
I was just thinking on same lines but i ruled out RTR due to poor service of TVS and bad tyres, plus FI engine cant be done by local mechanics, plus vibes.
My choice was FZ and pulsar my GF insisted on pulsar as i have one back at delhi and she likes it, plus it was cheaper, but i choose FZ as it is more smooth and 7k difference aint huge for a newer presence bike.

1. Mileage of P150 is considerably more than Fuzzy (> 10 KMPL)
2. Looks of Fuzzy are better than P150
3. Handling of Fuzzy is better than P150
a. until 80KMPH, after 80KMPH the wind drag comes in and I personally feel P150 is better
b. On curves and every thing Fuzzy is better
4. ASC of Yamaha sucks, P150 is so common that any mechanic can fix it.
5. Performance is almost same for both bikes.
PS: If you can fit in, I would still suggest RTR
PS: I own a Fuzzy.

That's new to me because I guess you are the first FZ owner, which I came across, who is recommending RTR. Though personally I feel RTR to be better than FZ on almost all fronts.Originally posted by leadpb View PostPS: If you can fit in, I would still suggest RTR

That's awesome. Never heard/read such figures for FZ. Even Yam dealers don't claim more than 45kmplOriginally posted by Anjit_Sharma View Posti am gettin 55+ in Fz,
.
For the query:
I would say P150 is way more VFM than FZ.
FZ looks cool(For me it's just 140 section radial tyre), handles well, gives enough grunt at low end. But that's coming at a premium of >10k (In bangalore, OTR prices) over P150, so decide after test riding both the bikes.
For the same price as Yam FZ RTR FI is an awesome bike if you are a biker not commuter else Uni/GS/Achiever are way better for refinement. So I would say, Uni/GS comes at one extreme while RTR comes on the other. In between you have FZ, CBZ, Hunk, P150 ..
So decide as per your requirements, test ride feel and your gut feel

As far as I remember, this was the price for P180.Originally posted by Mindgrinder View Postdude pulsar on road in bangalore is 68, 752/- its almost 7k difference all over india, how u saying its 10k and RTR Fi costs same.
I don't have the price chart with me now as I am out of Bangalore but as far as I remember P150 was at price around the price Uni, CBZ and Hunk which all are at around 65k. And these prices are from December/Jan month. And I don't think Bajaj would price it more than these bikes, if so, they are loosing sales big time. Read some where as per Jan month sales for Bajaj sold about 20,000 P150 while sales for Uni was about 30-35k. As per you it is costlier than TVS Apache RTR Refresh and around 1k cheaper than RTR with rear disc.
Even RTR FI was cheaper with around 200/300 Rs
74,680 or so as compared to 74990 for FZ.
