Re: Duke 390 or upcoming R3/CBR500
There is no official statement about R3 and CBR 500 launch in India by respective manufacturers yet. Also, there are rumours that it's R25 thats gonna launch in India, instead of R3 but this news as well is not confirmed. You better go ahead with Duke unless you have the patience to wait for any confirm news for next 6-8 months.www.motorcykle.in - The lighter side of motorcycling

Re: Duke 390 or upcoming R3/CBR500
The CBR 500 would be similar in power delivery to P220/CBR250R.
The R25/30 would be similar to Ninja 300.
If you like the power and style of D390, I see no reason why you have to wait, unless you want the power delivery or design of the above motorcycles.Regardless, Life shall go on.

Re: Duke 390 or upcoming R3/CBR500
+1 for the above posts.
And may I add the cost of the Japanese bikes will be considerably higher than the Bajaj manufactured KTM. After all KTM gives the maximum bang for the the buck, but compromises on the build quality, whereas Ninja, R25/R3, CBR500 will be top of the quality and significantly expensive than the KTM counterparts.
So not only there is the infinite wait for the Japs, there is the price issue. So if you like Duke and it fits all your requirements and is in your budget, there is no reason to wait for something which may be launched in next 6-8 months at a price which may or may not in in your budget.
Think it through and then choose wisely, brother.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Nothing concrete has been told yet. If luck favours you, then you may get the faired ones soon. Else, go for D390 since Street fighter is your style.R15S - Current

Re: Duke 390 or upcoming R3/CBR500
Thanks all for sharing view. I am also a fan of full faired sports tourer and was also looking for used N650. Yesterday found many online news regarding Honda 650F launch in March 2015. I liked it because it gives a feeling of in-line 4-cylinder. Expected price would be around 6L+. I think I can wait for another month.

How can P220 and CBR 250 compare to the power delivery of a 40+ bhp parallel twin?
As the old adage goes 'a bird in hand is worth two in the bush'. Buy the Duke and am sure you will enjoy it to the hilt.Setting off speedguns since 1984....

Re: Duke 390 or upcoming R3/CBR500
I am dedicating these days to test drive different machines. As I need to make long term investment (8 Yrs). I can stretch my budget around 6L. I need my machine to be smooth, thrilling power, & roaring sound. Ranging from D390 to HD. Though initially I was not a very huge fan of HD but yesterday decided to test drive HD for the first time. I went to Capital HD, Gurgaon to test drive Superlow & Iron883. Superlow was not available for ride so took Street750 & Iron 883. S750 was fitted with Screaming Eagle Exhaust which sounds awesome. S750 drives with liquid cooled which makes it buttery smooth compared to Iron883. But somewhere back in mind is S750 lacks somewhere in quality & open wires as HD brand or eye catcher. On the other hand Iron883 carry HD brand image and quality but I felt the Vibration as I open throttle. I still left to test drive Superlow from HD side. Guys please help me with your reviews on HD superlow or street750 as long term investment. I appreciate.

Do you like the ER-6n. Should be well within your budget, no niggles as its quality built by Kawasaki. Can be used for daily city commute, occasional touring.Originally posted by saddamalikhan View PostI am dedicating these days to test drive different machines.
