  • Apache RTR-FI?

    hey guys,
m planning to buy a bike this march. on 7th i will be of 20 years old.
i really like rtr fi.but many of my friends are telling not to go for this bike.cz it belongs to tvs family as well as da service isnt good.
sadly money is a problem for me .but m trying hard to collect it .
i dont want to end up wid bajaj...
    priorities are better handling(duh!!)

    *AVERAGE

i dont care abt da riding position.
shrt n simply- i hav few options
    1- apache rtr fi
2-yamaha fz16(dont recomend cz its new n looks good)
    3-hunk(limited edition/cbz extreme)
    4-or rtr fi carb version.

    ur suggestions will highly appriciated.

    regards

rtr Fi is not carb version, carb version is just RTR Fi - is fuel injection

if u can get a new stock tyre and is racing fan then go for RTR fi + new better gripping tyre. IF u care for city riding and nimble handling, FZ 16 << i own one.

Dunno abt TVS but yammy comes with 6 free service and 2 yr warranty.

AFAIK, TVS also comes with the same.

Moreover Yamaha service is also not good. So as per me on service part, both may be same(RTR and FZ). In down south like Bangalore, TVS has got good service at least better than Yamaha. Both bikes are great handler.

            So difference may be:
            Power: RTR FI > FZ
Fuel Efficiency: RTR FI > FZ
Price: RTR FI ~ FZ, On road, here in Bangalore.
Handling: FZ slightly better because of tyre quality b/w these bikes.

Both bikes are better handler than other options, in my opinion. so decide as per your requirements, have a test ride and choose. For me FZ is not VFM and I dropped the idea of buying one.

RTR is the best of the lot considering all round performance and also you are a little inclined towards it. You can decide on RTR or Fi given your budget.

the vibe thing is best experienced by taking a test ride of an Fi yourself .. the fi has very less vibes than the carb RTR .

The stock Tvs tyre is not very good in wet road conditions so many people advice advice on changing it .on dry tarmac its very good however .

Go through RTR ownership thread and there people have discussed this many a times. As far as I remember Zapper C/Q, was popular ones.

guys i have just heard that rtr fi needs 2 liters of petrol in the tank or the fuel injector will get spoiled...
                            is it true?

Hi buddy i am previous pulser owner. now i am owning a rtr efi model. i just want to tell you one thing it's a awesome bike to have in any mean. If there is any bike which can give you a awesome pickup with good handling it's only rtr. i drove many a bikes before i froze my decision. And now i am happy for mah decision. go for a rtr efi one awesome bike indeed. only one thing TVS tyres are the worst in quality no proper grip. go for a radial one as soon as you get it in your hand and enjoy yaar......................................
