  • New bike for brother.

Guys, my brother wants to buy a new bike.
Budget below 85k. Choices are unicorn 160, pulsar 150, gixxer, apache 160 and cbz xtreme!

Good pick up and average mileage is fine. He's 5ft 9 and wants a good looking bike.
    Please suggest!

    Approved!

But you haven't stated the intended usage of the bike.
BTW, why is FZ not considered? Is 85k the hard limit?
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

      Hey Arun,.

How much is the intended usage, is mileage a concern or performance matters,. Is it going to be city or highway runs??

IMO, CB160 is a good buy, with decent performance and good mileage. I guess in BLR, CB160 will cost you more than 85k, just check with your local dealers there.
Next is Gixxer, a new kid to the block, doing great , Great performance and decent mileage, Not as good as Honda in terms of mileage, but decent.

Pick yours based on your priority ...

          Re: New bike for brother.

Choose anyone between U160 or Gixxer. I heard they have nearly same performance. IMO the looks of Gixxer are better.

Moreover go for a test ride and listen to your heart.

I'm at the same crossroads right now. Signature Suzuki quoted 86k otr for the gixxer. I ride a honda twister currently. Servicing a honda at the dealer here in kannur, kerala is a PIA, So steering clear from Honda this time. Did consider the 200NS too, ppl didn't say good things about it.

P200NS might be a bit hard on your pocket, but it does bring in a few extra bhps and great styling. If you have touring plans, go for 200NS

                Re: New bike for brother.

Daily I would travel to office for around 25kms... I'm 24 and my height is 5.10 and weigh around 70kgs... The bike should be comfortable for both short and long rides... Mileage is not that concerned but performance matters...

One of my cousin is using apache rtr 160 new version.. He prefers apache over all d other bikes in the segment...

                Please consider the following points

                Good pick up

                Good in traffic

                Average mileage

Daily I ride for upto 30kms

                Good performance...
                Budget 86k max
Not preferring fz n unicorn coz of its lack of top speed...

                Please suggest now
