    Topic Approved.

    Manju,

I guess Kawasaki Ninja 250R, a second hand one, would be a good deal. Its a twin cylinder, and good fun. I don't know about its pillion comfort though.
A relatively new Z250 has the same engine as above, but its fresh in the market, so a second hand piece is rare.

In new bikes, I suggest you go for either RC 200 or CBR 250.

Do not go for the Duke series, as they're bad with regards to pillion comfort. Its my Personal experience.

Tells Thread Starter not to buy the Duke, because of bad pillion seat. Recommends the RC200.

thanks for approval. I tried RC 200 but riding position is bit painful for long rides and no pillion rider comfort. Z250 is too overpriced.

How could you even suggest him a RC200 for Pillion comfort. Are we missing the point here or is that your experience of being a pillion on a RC. CBR250 is definitely a good buy. But a first hand bike is a good rather than going for a 2nd hand one if his intended purpose is for just few months.

Re: Suggestions on buying new/used Bike

You can get a new CBR250 in 2 lakhs.
And a well maintained Ninja 250 for the same amount of money.
Both the bikes tick all the requirements that you listed.

The spare parts for baby ninja will be hard to get and will be significantly expensive than the CBR250. So do consider this issue.
And in case you go for a second hand bike, take a qualified mechanic with you to make sure everything is in order and check the service history before finalizing the deal.

              Choose wisely.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

What's so illogical about it? RC's pillion seat is more comfortable than Duke's. I sat on both otherwise why would I post this?

I felt RC to be more cushioning and comfortable, when I rode pillion. Anyways, I guess you all mean that the pillion footpegs are higher than normal bikes, is that what you mean?
I probably didn't notice that, and I guess it does affect ladies who're most likely to be pillions. So, ok...
