  • What to choose between tvs Jupiter and Honda aviator?

I am looking for a scooter for my father. His age is about 55. He is facing a bit problem with his back this is the reason he is moving to scooter. I am confused between aviator and Jupiter. I liked even wego but I skipped it because of its sleek look. I am looking for a low maintenance, reliable and comfortable scooter. I ruled out many other <125cc scooter because they lack telescopic suspension. Bit inclined towards Jupiter as both of its tyres are 12" where aviator's rear tyre is 10" and front 12". Does the difference in tyre sizes effect the ride quality?

    Suggestions and advices required..

    Query Approved

Larger wheels do make a difference especially on bad roads. I did find the Jupiter extremely comfortable when i had ridden it.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Aviator was my first choice when i was looking for a scooter 4 months back. But due to the height and bulk, my short GF(fiance) wasnt comfortable. hence got the next best option- Jupiter.
If you are keen on taking the Disk version, then take the Aviator. Otherwise, Jupiter is a great choice. I wish, Aviator was a bit more powerful WRT its bulk.
PS: I have completed 4K kms on my Jupiter. My average mileage is 50 Kmpl in city.

Both of them are good options. If you wish disc brakes, Aviator is the way to go. Jupiter on the other hand is more powerful with a larger wheelbase.
But since uncle is of 55, power is not what he primarily asks for. Comfort and handling should come first. Alpha though a little less powerful makes a strong case for itself when it comes to comfort, handling and engine refinement. Advice him to take a test ride for Alpha along with Aviator and Jupiter.
        Best of luck!

what Alpha Lacks is Tubeless tires and 12" Wheel. Those were my criterion of rejecting Alpha/Ray.
Also there is another good option in Mahindra Gusto, but never buy a Mahindra without knowing the ASS quality at your place.

+1 for Jupiter. It ticks all the requirements.
Get aviator only if front disc is a must, else Jupiter all the way.

Take test rides and then decide.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Jupiter all the way, since comfort and ease of ride/handling are required for your father. The Jupiter has gas charged shocks at the rear which make the scooter very comfortable on our potholed roads.

Please do take him for a test ride and decide.

              Cheers
