    Query Approved

I can't think of any bike upwards of a lakh which has a comfortable pillion seat, especially if the pillion happens to be your mother.

Comfortable pillion seat and stylish bike might not really go hand in glove!

    Comfortable seats - Unicorn 160, GS150 and Discover 150.

    Looks are subjective.

All the best and ride safe, so that you can ride long
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

      Hey Murali,
You can look at the bullet classic 350 or the Thunderbird 350 to even a pulsar rs200. Depends which one you find more attractive looking.

Will have the reviews for it when it comes in and another hassle would be service centers. So depends on a lot of factors

A pulsar RS200 seems to tick all the boxes. Not the most comfortable pillion seat but not uncomfortable like the duke/r15 etc.
A stylish bike too with the mileage ur okay with.

Inazuma was the only premium bike with sofa like seats but its note on sale anymore.
So you can wait for benelli tnt250 which is again coming with comfortable pillion seat and affordable price tag otherwise cbr 250 is the only bike which has better pillion seat than its rivals but not the best.
              Hope it helps

For a comfortable seat for an elderly lady, RE should be the best bet. All other bikes at that price point do not have a comfy pillion seat. You can also look for an R15 V1.0 second hand if you want style and comfort together to some extent.

I would suggest you take a look at the GS 150. It has been one of the most underrated bikes but offers superb rider-pillion comfort and great stability on highways and has a sixth gear. Do test ride one and get a feel of it.

Please ask for the pillion's height before suggesting gs150r to anyone

Yes that is a concern, Naveen. I'm aware of pillion seat height of the GS and the problem it could pose to an indian lady of average height.

But I guess it would not be more than height of CBR 250's pillion seat which my Mom (age 65 yrs, ht -5ft 1 ish) is able to climb on to for small rides in city.

It all boils down to a test ride or sitting in this case.

Else I don't think anything other than a RE would satisfy his need.

The Honda cb unicorn 160 is good option , it's really refined , honda quality and packs enough power for daily use .
With the CBS the safely is also increase , you can get 40+ milage .

The royal enfield classic 350 and thunderbird 350 are also comfortable bikes but the vibration after 70km is pretty uncomfortable.
I don't ride a bike to add days to my life .

I am surprised nobody suggested the Karizma series. I felt it was the most comfortable bike and has a good pillion seat as well.

That would have been a no brainer but IMO the newer ones have a seat that slopes forward in interests of sporty looks.

The old gen had a generous flat if somewhat stepped seat which was very easy on the backside.

                              Sir,
Best option will be unicorn 160 or if pillion confort is problem then you can also look for discover 150 or even avenger. Both will give you decent mileage and will be low on maintenance part also. Other members can correct me if i am wrong.
