I am a 31 year old man, married and with a kid. I loved bikes ever since I ws a kid, and from the time I started earning, I have owned a lot of them. I have done innumerable number of trips.
My current ride is a Kawasaki Ninja 300 which has clocked 14500 Kms in last 1 year.
However, off late my wife too has shown interest in riding with me. She would love to accompany me on my rides. Hence, the pillion seat on the Ninja 300 is falling short in that aspect.
2 bikes that I would love to choose from keeping my requirements in mind are
Kawasaki Er6n
Triumph Bonnevile
I took a test ride on both the bikes with my wife and shoe loved the pillion comfort on both of them.
Hence, I am looking for advice from the owners of these bikes on
1. Reliabilty
2. Pillion comfort on long tours
3. Cost of service and frequency of oil change.
4. Ride in bumper to bumper traffic ( Heat issues)
5. Ease of riding in city during peak hours.
6. Any known issues with these bikes.
People suggesting Ninja 650, I just love the 6n more than the faired version. I fully understand benefits of a fairing on the long tours, however, knowing that I would still like to go for 6n.
People suggesting RE instead of Bonnie because of similar looks, I am not interested in RE. ( I have met people who have suggested that)
Hence, owners, it would be great if you can chip in with your contributions. Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chinmaya Kar
