  • Which mid-range bike is suitable for 6' tall guy

    Hi,

This would be my first post here.

I am looking for a bike, Yamaha FZ v2 caught my eye, but reviews say its not a great bike for tall guys.

My budget is 90K. Any suggestion are most welcome.

    Here are few details:
    - I am 24 years old. So looking for a bike which will be looking cool.
    - As I have mentioned already, I am 6' tall. Slim built weighing 75Kg.
    - I will be using for office and day to day activity. Sometimes for a long ride(Once in couple or more months).
    - I am living in Bangalore so 80% city 20% highway.
    - I have less(NO) knowledge about brands and their values so I am open to any brand.

I am looking for 150cc range. 200cc bike is fine but I have to think twice before taking 200cc bike.

How is Pulsar AS 150 in a long usage?

Just get the gixxer sf (fully faired). Excellent overall product.has more top end than any 150-170cc bike in India and more mileage.

Yamaha FZ V2 is surely going to look a little small on a 6 feet person.

Have a look on Yamaha Fazer V2 and Suzuki Gixxer SF as I can assume your one of requirement is to get little bulky looking bike to companion your height

Look at the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF. I'm 6'2" and find the SF comfortable.

Buddy sorry for late reply. Well according to your requirements Honda unicorn 160 and suzuki gixxer would be perfect. I would suggest the gixxer because it's good in performance, handling, ride quality and ergonomics .

Do not go for a Bajaj. Especially when you have such great alternatives available. I speak from experience with the newer pulsars as well as owning an older pulsar myself.

As per your requirements, I'd suggest you Gixxer SF and Fazer V2.0(though you'll have to stretch your budget by 10K). Both have very good build quality and refined motors. Fazer is a little low on power but has the FI to counter that. Both can serve you for many years to come. One issue can be Suzuki after sales service.
For mostly city usage, both their naked siblings(i.e., FZ V2.0 and Gixxer) would be better to handle though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I took a test ride for Frazer. To me, it seemed like Frazer is the sibling of the naked FZ model. Look wise, I felt that the fairing is the only difference from FZ.

The bike bit looks smaller compared other variants. Suzuki gixxer SF is a great bike. Only thing turns down is the "service".

Still in confusion, which bike to buy.

I am also 6"1', don't you find the seat height a bit low?
Also, I wanted to know if you've readjusted the rear monoshock, since I find it quite stiff.
I want to decrease it to "2" setting, just fear that the bike will scrap bumps. (I ride solo)
