Looking at your requirements Honda cb twister and Suzuki gixxer 150 are the two options that came to my mind, gixxer is a refreshing product.Though you can have a look at Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Hero CBZ Xtreme. They both are darn cheap in terms of maintainance and spare parts.

Thanks for the reply but i heard that twister is going to be discontinued, cbz extreme doesn't give good mileage, any idea about gixxer 150 and pulsar 150 on road price in Bangalore..

Since you are looking for 60+/- mileage, it would be difficult to find a 150cc that gives such mileage.

Honda CB Shine
Yamaha SS 125
Suzuki Slingshot plus
Yamaha YBR 125

Bikes suiting your requirements would be Unicorn 160 or SZRR V2.0.
Both have good build quality, good refined engines, comfortable seats and ample power.

It also depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking for a power upgrade as well, or only the mileage figures. None of the 150ccs will give you a mileage of 60kmpl in the City.

Below are my suggestions if you need an upgrade :

Discover 150F : Now, since you already have hands on experience with Bajaj and maintained it for 8 years, i believe you would be knowing how to handle Bajaj bikes and where to service them. Discover 150F will be a good upgrade and it does come close to giving a mileage of 60kmpl.

Yamaha SZ RR V2 : Good refined engine, would return a FE of around 50kmpl? Not sure.

Unicorn CB 160:
This might be the best of the lot, but its Onroad price goes beyond the budget mentioned. Unicorn does return a decent FE of around 50-55kmpl.

I guess, other than these, you might have to look at lower CCs (100-125) for 60kmpl, which others have already mentioned here.
My pick at 125ccs : Honda Shine for Mileage, SS 125 for a package of Power + Mileage.

Thanks for the reply. But one bike that is out of my mind is Unicorn because of the looks and design. I don't have any complaints regarding Honda but the design aspect of Unicorn does not appeal to me. No offence, others might like it but for me it is out of my list.

Well, if you are not looking specifically for a 150cc, then the Yamaha Saluto or the Honda Shine can satisfy your need. Frankly, a 110/125 cc is good enough for 50-60 km.s daily.
Both are reliable, smooth and comfortable. Specially from Saluto, you can expect 60kmpl+ as the cc to bhp ratio is great for good mileage. Looks are fresh.
Shine on the other hand has nothing more to prove. A major disadvantage is vibrations above 60kmph. But, for city rides, that shouldn't matter much.
But, if you want that occasional long ride on the weekends or a more fun to ride bike without compromising your needs, check out the SS125. As already mentioned, SS125 is a mix of power and mileage. If you ride sedately, you can expect ~ 54-56 kmpl.
Other than these two there is the Dream series from Honda, Hayate from Suzuki(hasn't really taken off) and Glamour.
Weigh down your priorities and then decide. No one bike is going to give you all the positive things together.
