    2. Pillion - is a must ! ride with 80% pillion at-least should manageable .
    3 .Height - 167 cms
    4. Weight - 72 kgs
    5. Intended usage - commute 36 total kms up and down with about 25-30 kms with less trafic state two lane highway.
    6. Fuel Efficiency requirement - 30 or more
    7. City & Highway percentage usage - 20 / 80
    8. Approximate Daily / Monthly running - 40 / 1200
    9. City / Town /Village of residence - Town / village .
    10. Brand / Bike type preference (if any) - Not a problem at all.

My current bike Suzuki fierro 1st gen 13 years old and crossed 2lakhs kms It will be with me till its end ( my first bike )

    Bikes considered .

1.Tnt 300 - My nearest service center is 600 kms so no use
    2. Inazuma - unlucky it got discontinued .
3 .AS200 - still in consideration ( Hate the semi fairing ns200 looked good )
4 . Cbr250r - May be in the final list .(Hate the faring though )
    5. Fazer Or fzs - Still in the list .

Last but not the least this bike will be replaced by Tnt 300 or the rumored Suzuki 250 single cylinder ASAP or as soon as they arrive so if we go for Cbr250 we will loose a huge money during resale .The 150 cc bikes will fetch less loss during the resale .

    Noooo Bullet though never .

Apologies for the lack of suggestions. But that was deliberate. I have been out of circulation for a bit and need to catch up on what is available in the market currently!!!

Once i am up to date with market realities, suggestions would flow

Keeping in mind that riding with pillion, fuel efficiency and dislike for fairing are the primary deciding factor I'd suggest you to pick anything among AS200, Fazer, FZS and leave rest out of options. Also since you plan to replace the bike with a TNT300 or Suzuki 250 soon I'd recommend you not to spend a lot on the current buy. Also consider the gixxer (not SF). It'd be quite practical for your requirements.

As the bike is short term arrangement, Don't spend too much here. As you seem to prefer nakeds, I suggest you go for Yamaha FZS or Apache 180. Gixxer is also a good option but it lacks in pillion comfort zone. If you were to go for long term ownership then Pulsar 200s would make sense.

Go for AS 200, it's liquid cooled and a good all-rounder. Resale value also will not be a problem as it's engine will last longer than the air cooled ones and it's a Pulsar. Fz/Fzs is also a good option, but it is rather expensive considering it is a 150cc. If you don't like AS200, go for Suzuki Gixxer. It's slightly cheaper and is better in almost every aspect than Fz. Only thing in favour of Fz is it's fuel efficiency as it's fuel injected and engine refinement.

Considering the budget and "must ride with pillion" phrase, I would go to the Karizma ZMR else Suzuki GixxerSF

What about Avenger 200 ? It has a good power and long ride comfort.

Re: New bike for commute with pillion .

You mentioned, in bold, No Royal Enfield never. I won't ask why, there are hundreds of reason not to go for a RE.

But the bike, with all its flaws, is really good at carrying people, and .. well, anything. I carry two of my friends who weigh in excess of 100 kg each regularly, it hardly feels any different than riding alone or maybe with a normal sized ( my friends won't mind) pillion.

Secondly, town/village roads are a major factor when you consider a bike, you either go with the choice of millions Splendor/Discover for those narrow poorly built roads, or get RE which will see you through puddles or potholes better than any other premium bikes.

Re: New bike for commute with pillion .

A Twist in the story guys was searching for a bike for a loooong time none of the bikes like TNT 300 nor the mojo saw the light in our town even the avenger street is yet to arrive meanwhile my 13 year companion my fiero started giving lot of troubles so I cant relay on it for too long for daily commute so was in a great confusion suddenly a friend who deals with seconds bike and cars called me on Sunday and said I have got one fresh 6 month old Fazer which had clocked only 2700 kms are you interested I asked him to bring to my village the asking price was 75k and he knows me very well that I wont bargain after half an hour he came to my place and in the first sight I decided it is going to be my next bike until something bigger reaches my home town .So sent him back in bus .
BTW My Fiero will be with me with a royal treatment my mom today was not okay with the seat of Fazer so took the fiero to drop her so it is decided it must stay .
