The CBR 250 is perfect for you, even the Z250 would be awesome, provided budget allows. Though i doubt if either of these two motorcycles will be able to deliver on the fuel efficiency requirements of yours.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

I guess Z250 SL coming with ABS as standard. And it will be a bit north of 2L bud. But a good buy as its a Kwacker. So far only speculations have come in various sites. But nothing concrete yet.

Other one is CBR250, definitely a good commuter and all rounder. An awesome tourer, but have an issue with the spares availability as rumours have been creeping about the 300R coming, so not sure how much the support will be for this in terms of service and availablity of spares. If you are closer to Adayar, check with the Honda guys near Madhya Kailash, those guys have good updates.

TBTS 500 is also a good machine, a great tourer IMO. Somehow it didnt stike the right cord in me and I had to sell my CL5.

You mentioned track. How about R15 or even the TNT300?

Hey kksin123. I think that the CBR250 is perfect for you. It has Honda reliability, decent power but considering your budget you can get many other options like the KTM Duke 390 but as you mentioned weekend touring & racetrack go for RC200 because it gives aqs much power as CBR250. I also heard that Honda is launching a new version of CBR so think about that also.

need a bike with refined engine and relaxed posture riding. ktm is fun to drive but not for touring..BTW i love the power of duke esp d390
also i dont need a track oriented machine...

i dont think honda is launching new version of cbr except a sticker job in november.

what about the heating issues or rattling fairing if any in cbr

honda has already launched the cbr with a new sticker job a few weeks ago.
based on your requirements and budget, the cbr 250 should be your ideal choice.
heating and rattles.. nah not on the cbr.

Cbr 250 fits your requirement perfectly! But fuel efficiency wont be in the range you mentioned I guess. If I am not wrong, only the initial batch of Cbr had issues, owners could give more clarity on this one.

D390 is actually good for touring. Dont confuse the Duke with RC. RC is majorly track oriented, not comfortable for daily commute at all. Duke is an All Rounder. Talking about Relaxed posture, most street fighters including the D390/200 provide an upright posture, the 250R doesnt

But when you question the reliability of Duke engine, I cannot comment on that. So far there hasnt been any complaints about the Engine. But Honda's refined engines come at a premium thats why the 250R is more expensive than the D200

Disclaimer: A very satisfied owner of the CBR250R, so you know where I come from.

+1 to the CBR. I think it's the best choice out there in this price range for a relaxed tourer. I think Karizma owners will disagree.
Test drove the D390 and CBR250r before making my choice. From my point of view, the D390 wants to driven in the higher rpms and soon you end up having a lot of fun, but I wanted something more relaxed but with enough power for quick overtakes on the highway, which the CBR250r ticked the boxes. If my priorities were a tiny bit different I would have bought the Duke.
