  • Hello Everyone. Used Bike buying help

    Hello
I Am Saurabh. I am from Noida (u.p)

    finally the time has come,
i will be getting my DL in a couple of months and will ride into a new chapter of my life.

Till now i was ridding and mainting my sister's scooty streak in and around my society only. Never experienced real traffic situations.

Having no bike or dl could not stop me from visiting this forum regularly.

So now my parents have agreed to sell the scooty as my sister is not using it anymore and i have decided to buy a used bike and learn ridding on it and sell it off once i get familiar with the clutch and gear and buy my first new bike 😁.

The scooty is in fair condition so at max it will sell for 20k i can add 10k from my side so i have a budget of 30k for the used bike so please suggest which one should i buy. It should be niggle free, easy to ride and handle, and must have good resale value.
Also tell if this is a good idea or not.

It is wonderful to know that you have been patient enough to wait till you get your DL before you hit the road. Often we see youngsters on the road without a DL or any riding skills. And that does make it all the more dangerous for other road users.

Secondly, for a used bike, you need to scan the market a bit and come back with a list of what are the bikes available locally and in your budget. Accordingly, people can recommend whether that particular motorcycle is a good investment or not. Go through this thread as well - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...sed-bikes.html

Finally, once you do get your bike, practice and learn riding with the proper techniques, it will only help you in the future. Bad habits are easy to acquire and difficult to get rid off. That holds true for motorcycling as well. So learn once, learn correctly! All the best
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city
