  • Thunderbird dilemma

    Hello,
I'd like some insight on a Royal Enfield thunderbird 350.
Something popped up in a garage near my place and I'd like to know if it's worth shelling out money.
    Model: thunderbird 350
    Year :2007
    Single owner
    Mileage :40000
The mechanic is quoting me 50k for the bike.
The bike looks fantastic, no rusting, looks well maintained.
I took a drive and felt it was really good. But it did heat up after the small ride, I guess that's cause of the avl engine (?)

Please tell me your views, is it worth it? And I'm kinda worried about all the oil leakage issues I read in RE's dating before 2011.

    Query Approved
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

I own a 2010 TBTS , if the vehicle has a genuine mileage of 40k and if you can get the vehicle checked by a authorized svc . If everything seems good you can go ahead with it. At 40k you may have to change the tyres it usually last around 30-35k kms. Check if he has detailed service history else you can get it svc. Check for Oil Leakage , Electric start(i personally do not use this) , battery.
