Hey guys, I am logging into xBhp after a long time. My beloved steed, Gixxer 155 was stolen a few months ago, the insurance amount for which I still have not received. Anyway, I am in the market again looking for a bike which can serve my touring needs and can be used for city commutes too. I like touring in the hills and am into weekend getaways. Please suggest accordingly. My budget is flexible but can go maximum upto 2L.
I am open for used options too.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards
    Bhushan Bhati

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

The New SF sounds like a good option. For a higher class, consider the Duke200 as well as the TNT25. I felt the brakes of the TNT25 were not up to the mark based on TD. But it does have a premium product feel. The Mojo with all its weight, am not sure if it meets your hills requirement but I'd a good bike. And if you don't mind an aging Platform the CBR 250R with C -ABS can be considered. The RS200 doesn't really appeal to me but also is noteworthy.
When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.

For your age, I would say go for either Duke 200 or Pulsar RS. Both are good bikes with adequate performance and have looks to go with.

First get a permanent licence and then buy any higher cc bike.

        Ride safe and have fun.

I don't want a faired version of the bike that I have already had before. I will test ride the tnt soon. I am thinking 390 in the dukes, 200 doesn't appeal to me.

My permanent license in due in the next two months. Will buy then only, but am mighty confused.

Is the pulsar RS a proven bike? Are all the niggles in the initial batch sorted by now? How good is the handling? Are there any vibrations?
I can live with a little less power but even a little vibrations can hamper with my riding experience and can take me from calm to frustrated.

I can't answer this question as I haven't ridden the RS.
And as for your second point regarding vibs, dukes have them and sometimes in abundance. This is based on a few times that i rode them.

I might have to test drive a lot before finalising on a particular bike. The gixxer has spoiled me, so any vibrating bike will seem like a downgrade
