  • Which bike to buy between R15 and RS200??

Please discuss all pros and cons of both bikes. I am somewhat worried about the mileage also. I will be riding almost 120 kms in weekends and 4-5kms daily. Which bike will be best for me???

    Query Approved
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Actually I will be using bike mostly in weekend for 70kms approx. and daily may be 6-7kms only. I want to know all the pros and cons of these bikes?? I am more attracted towrds RS200 but can i trust bajaj?? As now R15 has now become somewhat outdated and well it is underpowered too. What u say?? What is the exact mileage of both bikes???

What you ride now ? What's your height? If your height is around 6ft then It will be slightly uncomfortable riding R15, and both bikes are different in terms of power and riding posture. R15 has proven engine and no doubts over its reliability. RS200 is quite heavy in its segment and it's engine seems to be refined one as compared to other bajaj bikes.
Take TD for both bikes and do enquire about SVC reputation in your area.

P.S. - I have not rode RS200 so above comments are my POV.

Test ride both bikes and decide.

I would recommend you the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V,That is ofcourse,The Top end Variant with Fuel Injection,ABS and Pirelli Tyres. It is priced equally to the Yamaha R15 and beats the R15 easily in Performance. The Build Quality of the RTR is way better than the Pulsars (Even from the beginning,Build Quality,TVS was always better). The RTR is a wee bit slower than the 200 NS/RS/AS with only 21Bhp on Paper.Nobody has done a full road test of the bike other than riding it on the TVS Track and First Ride impressions,So Mileage cannot be easily said. The RTR 180 gave 38-42 Kmpl.I am guessing the RTR 200 will give a maximum under 40 Kmpl if ridden sane. The Pulsar 200 AS has a Riding position like the 220F so helps greatly in touring,The RTR has a more City + Track focussed Riding position so,It must be a wee bit more comfortable than the completely Race-dedicated seating Position on the R15.Oh,The Vibrations on the RTR have been greatly reduced too.
