Re: Gixxer SF or Hornet CBS
no criteria mentioned so I am assuming you are free in the choice. in which case I would say go for hornet CBS.
What you get in Hornet CBS:-
# CBS advantage as well as rear discs (this greatly helps when morons ahead of you spasm on their brakes out of no where)
# marginally higher torque (you mentioned you are 6.1, so guessing the extra torque will help you)
# higher FE and hence longer tank range (as per specs)
# marginally higher ground clearance
rest all the specs are more or less same for both bikes!

Re: Gixxer SF or Hornet CBS
Thanks for the replies guys. I am planning to do a 1500 km ride when I get one of these two bikes. I'll be using the bike only for an year and wanna get the best of these two. Pillion seat is a point of concern. I heard that SF looks small for tall riders. So I guess I'll go with hornet though it lacks engine kill switch, DC electricals etc. But, SF looks awesome.

Re: Gixxer SF or Hornet CBS
Both bikes are equally good with some pros and cons.
1) Pillion seat of Hornet is better than Gixxer.
2) Engine kill switch is absent in Hornet. However there are talks that Honda will do some minor refresh of the bike. May be a kill switch will be added. It is there in Gixxer.
3) Gixxer's instrument cluster, though cluttered, reads out a lot of information including gear position. Hornet is also good.
4) Dealer, ASC network and spare parts availability of Honda is much better than Suzuki.
5) Riding dynamics of Gixxer is slightly better than Hornet.
Now its up to choice.

Re: Gixxer SF or Hornet CBS
Cold start issue is due to wrong starting technique. I had cold start issue but it was due to not using kick in right way.it is not present now.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostYep I am now in the same boat as well! I am almost positive to go with the CBS Hornet but I am waiting for the switchgear update and rectification of Cold start issue. As per the ownership thread the bike doesnt seem to have any other problem.

Re: Gixxer SF or Hornet CBS
Even i'm confused between these two. Now Gixxer SF/ Gixxer is getting a rear disc update and gixxer sf will be having FI system as shown in Auto Expo. I have read about Gixxer SF on the ownership thread, They are getting the problems of rusting on their bike, and the most of the Suzuki svc aren't as helpful so owner's are sending mail, tweets and all to suzuki, while the honda's service center in my locality is a lot helpful to me for my honda dio.
This is my first reply, so sorry if i have done any mistakes 😅

I have heard the same, some honda svcs are great especially if you go there like 3 or 4 times, the staff that works there gets to know you and will you give you a slightly better priority (though they are not supposed toOriginally posted by zaidansari42 View PostEven i'm confused between these two. Re: Gixxer SF or Hornet CBS
Both bikes are good but as you mentioned you are 6"1 i would suggest you to go with Hornet.Originally posted by Mahesh Mantha View PostHello guys, I'll be pleased if you shower your views and help me decide a bike between Gixxer SF and Hornet CBS(dual disk version). I am 6"1 and would mostly travel with a pillion rider.
