Do you have any budget in your mind. If you have to restrict yourself under 1.25L, I would suggest the newly launched avenger street version. Its a good city commute and with a windshield installed, you can happily cruise on the highways at 70kmph.

If you are ready to stretch your budget upto 2.5L,
CBR250 is a great option, with ABS and other goodies. Not sure what is the pricing of TNT25, I guess it is under 2.5L OTR. Correct me if I am wrong.

TNT25 is a good daily usage and weekend getaway tool as well. Look for the ownership thread here in xBhp for the TNT25.

I would think the Mahindra Mojo would be excellent option to consider along with the TNT25 (slightly more than 2L).

I'm not sure how comfortable would a Duke be for someone of your statistics and riding 500-600 kms. The riding position and the 11ltr tank will tire you out, while the Mojo and the TNT25 are both relaxed and have a 21ltr and 17ltr tank respectively.

Get a test ride of the bikes and see which appeals to your heart and wallet. Either the Mojo or the Duke 200 will be in your budget allowing you get some decent gear. Also the Mojo is slated to get an ABS this year if the rumor mill is right ...
When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.

Mojo seems to be a good choice for you with decent value for money. Benelli 250 also come into the picture if you have good support netrwork.
Else, try out the CBR250/R15S. Both are havng decent power for city and highway, good low-end torque and are tried and tested.

Both Duke and TNT 25 are on the same line....if you want something fresh and new on the road go for TNT 25, or else duke 200 is value for money..
best thing will be take a test ride. to decide between them
