  • Pulser RS200 vs Duke 200

Hi , I want to buy 200cc bike for my daily commute to ofc(15 km on one side) as well as my weekend outings. Till now I narrowed to RS200 and Duke 200. But not able to decide to buy which one, i know both are diff in ride style, rs is faired and duke is street fighter.

pros and cons find till now:

    PROS:

    RS 200:
styling(atleast eye catching in some sense)
    price(little less than duke)
old bike exchange offer(yet to verify actual old bike value)
    abs
bajaj maintenance (i own bajaj and it performed very well on in many years)

    Duke 200:
    ride experiance
easy on traffic as well as on highway
    best performing 200cc bike(i feel)
    proper street fighter looks

    CONS:

    RS200:
lower quality plastic parts around fairing portion(many parts were shaking on very light hand press)
    heavy

    Duke 200:
    no abs
price a little higher than RS200
no bike exchange policy(i know till now)

please comment on my findings till now, and suggest me which bike will be better to buy ? also taking into consideration that in one year Duke will be phased out and RS is yet to mature on small feedbacks

    thanks!

I would go with the AS 200 or the Duke 200 over the RS 200.The AS is one of the great looking Pulsars made.

If you can wait,You can see the RTR 200 too.

The RS200 is a good bike because of the features it boasts like FI,projectors, fairing and the best part is engine.a brilliant one.
However it's pretty heavy.if you are okay with heavy bikes you can go for it.also since its bajaj you might fave frequent SVC visits as quality is mediocre on their products.duke is fast ,pretty advanced etc.dont think mcuh about the phasing out.I don't think in indianits gonna be soon, even if itndoes phase you won't face Amy problem because roads are filled with dukes and they won't stop supporting .however if you are someone who doesn't like light bikes then duke might not be of tour liking.RS won't be as nimble as duke.RS won't have a good pickup as compared to duke, abs is single channel means it only works on front and not back.

Yes duke is fun.although its drawback is the pillon seat because only a very slim person can accommodate. Other than that when you compare the headlights of duke and rs,RS has got excellent lights.if you wish to take a rs200 do a very extensive pdi check on the bike.
Mileage is around 37-38 on both the bikes if driven sanely which includes city traffic

headlight is the most distinctive portion in rs200

Duke has mileage issue and small fuel tank capacity which will push you to stop frequently at petrol pump if you are planning for long ride.
second Duke is expensive bike but look is better than any pulsar.
