    My requirement

    Budget - <80k OTR
    CC - <= 125
Usage - Only city riding (100%)
Commute - 25kms everyday to work (weekdays and 30+ kms weekends for errands )
    Traffic - Moderate city traffic
Pillion confort - Yes, will take my mom or wife at times
    Mileage - North of 50kmpl

    Bikes in mind

    1. Bajaj CT100
    2. TVS Victor
    3. Honda Shine
    4. TVS star city sport
    5. Platina

Please let me know which of the above mentioned is good in its class and easy on maintenance too. Spares availability should not be an issue.

        Yeah Avinash.

I have Victor and Livo as well in my mind. Just wanted to hear from fellow bikers.

Also consider Bajaj V15. Within your budget too. Just wait for reviews from members once the bike delivery starts

Nops, I strictly not crossing the 125cc limit.

              + 1 for Victor.
              Good all round performance.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

All the bikes in your list are good in their own way. All of them are fuel efficient, offer good pillion comfort and are pure commuters. Still, personally I think Platina will be too plain. If possible, include Yamaha Saluto in your list. It's the lightest 125cc, offers good FE(reportedly 55kmpl+), has one of the longest seats and has a brilliant motor.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Yes, I haven't seen one in flesh. But, will have a look at that too. Thanks Krishna.

Re: Suggestions needed for City commute bike

I don't know, I am not considering Bajaj, Mahindra, Suzuki most of the times esp. sub 150cc bikes.

From Hero - Glamour, Passion Xpro, Splendor i Smart
From Honda - Yuga, (Shine SP - You think it's worth 5k premium over previous generation Shine?)
From TVS - Phoenix, (Victor - initial impression seems very impressive but do you want to consider recently launched vehicle?)
                    From Yamaha - Saluto

Almost all the Splendor/Passion are plain and simple and pretty much boring after seeing them for a very long time. And the same goes for the other two dream bikes from Honda. Solely for the price, I don't prefer Livo. For the same price, I would rather go for Glamour or Phoenix.

This is more like what I would consider if I am in your position than a suggestion from a side. What would one want if he has higher cc bike and scooter already in the house. Hmmm... more likely simple bikes like Splendor i smart? or may be Yuga? You try them and decide.
