Bike with the best ride comfort upto 1.1 lakhs
I am looking for a bike with the best ride comfort especially over broken and uneven roads. The engine should also be reliable upto 1 lakh kms. I don't intend to abuse my bike. My maximum budget is 1.1 lakhs. Performance and handling doesn't matter. Bikes I have considered are Pulsar 220, Bajaj AS200, Suzuki gixxer, Honda hornet, TVS apache 200, apache rtr180, Hero extreme hunk, Hero karizma, Bullet standard /electra.Does dual rear shocks have advantage over monoshocks when ride comfort over broken roads is considered. Has hero karizma engine lost its engine reliability with the update? Is the reliability of plusar 220 good enough if ridden in a sane manner?Tags: None

Query Approved
The most comfortable suspension i have encountered in the recent past is on the Honda Unicorn 160. Also it has a lovely engine which will last years if maintained perfectly.
I have not heard of any Pulsar owner who has reached a lakh without an engine rebuild. There might be someone, just that i haven't heard of that someone!
The Gixxer has a stiffer suspension setup, so not something you would want on broken tarmac. The Apache 200 i haven't ridden so cannot comment.
Dual shock has no advantage over mono shock.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Forget Bajaj if you want to do 1 lakh Kms without opening the engine.
The Japs are your best friends in terms of Robust and butter smooth engines.
Check out the Hornet for the fresh new looks and Gixxer for light and zippy street bike.
Take test rides and then decide.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Since comfort is your highest priority, why not look at the avenger. It was very comfortable for my height of 5' 9". Although, it being new no one would have done 100K on it.
We just got a Honda Hornet in the family. Having a comfortable pillion seat was one of the requirements and I think it is doing brilliant. Also looks stunning in White IMO or the Pearl Blue IMO.
+1 to what monk said about dual vs Mono shocks. Depends on a lot of other factors as well, but Bullets in general are very comfortable. But then again, they have their share of 'troubles'.
Ride the bike and decide on what suits you. When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.
