  • URGENT Help Please!!!

Will be getting a bike tomorrow.
Really very confused between the AS200 and P220F.

    Main problems -

Even though the 220 has power, will it be heartwarming enough in terms of handling and cornering in the long run??

The AS200 although ticks all the boxes in terms of riding, I am really concerned about the long term maintainence and problems associated with the bike.

This will be my bike for a long time as I won't be upgrading in the next 5 years at the very least!!

    Please help me.

Also my budget is very limited to the above bikes' price range.

P.S. - My father will be helping me with money and he gets a day off for only tomorrow so I have to make the decision within 20 hours.

Any help would be gladly appreciated!

I assume you have bought your bike already. But anyways if this thread is of any help, else will shut it down!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

You did not mention the daily usage and other requirements in format.

Anyways, Since its your fathers money, I would suggest you to buy a bike that offers peace of ownership.
Pulsar 220F is a safe bet as its been long established. Spares and service should not be an issue.

Is it normal for the showroom people to ride the bike from godown to the showroom???
I don't trust them! How can I make them give me a bike with 0 kms on the odo???

          ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

They shamelessly claim to have ridden 4 kms from their warehouse to the showroom on each ****ing bike! What madness is this?!!!

            Did you buy the bike?

If you have not, then I think you can ask the Dealer to unload/ride the bike from the warehouse in your presence. Some dealers accept it. Give a try.

Buy a Hayabusa? That thing comes in a crate, which is opened right in front of you.

There's no way you can get a 0 km desi bike in India.

Thanks. Commuting and once in a week highway and twisty roads are going to fall in my domain. Also, will the rear break be adequate?? And can I somehow install the tail plate holder from the 200NS??

                Will be doing this tomorrow!

Will be opting for the 220f black. Going to purchase tomorrow. Moderator may close this thread now.

And I really intend to get the rear tail tidy from the 200NS fit into my bike.. Anyone who has any say in this at all may please feel free to inbox me once this thread is closed.
If successful, I intend to post a DIY on the 'tail transplant'!!

                Wish me luck,

                And thanks everyone.

It is possible, however that they give you a bike with 0 on the odo, but that does not guarantee it never being ridden. Some dealers simply detach the speedo cable from the wheel, and it stops recording the odo as well.

Mybike had close to 10 on the odo, but he had to ride it from some godown, which I did not bother asking where it was, so yeah, 3-4 KM is normal, IMO.

+1 to what you said. Most test rides are given on new bikes with speedo disconnected, unfortunately.

I talked them into me picking up the bike from their godown itself. Should feel better now.
It's my first ownership, so I'm really excited.

Are there any 220 specific running in methods other than the normal one?

                      Also, thanks a lot!
