  • Apache rtr 200

Could experts and owners please put some light on below queries.. 1) Apache 200 as bike when compared with Bajaj pulser series (I own avenger currently)
    2) TVS ka service any better than Bajaj ??
    3) Any other choice in 200 range with Pirelli + ABS, and naked bike (Pirelli I can get but not ABS I think)

Context - I am planning to sell off Avenger h(and buy some better non-cruiser bike) since long as I bought it considering pillion comfort for my wife but she rides with me rarely and all I am left with is speed of 20 on corners and bad Bajaj service..
Due to financial constraints, not going to buy higher capacity bike soon, so 200 range bike fits city highway and finance limits perfectly.. And I cant leave riding for any constraints, so I am better off riding smaller capacity affordable bike.. Thanks in advance..

    Cheers,
    Prasad M

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Prasad, your heart is set on RTR200 it seems.. That thing is just best bang for buck if you do not expect out-worldly performance out of it.

I had deliberated a lot while buying a bike in 2009, Karizma got a lot of weight-age from whoever i interacted. Hence bought it. It was a great bike certainly.. Served me good undoubtedly and i had some memorable trips over it. But deep down i was stuck on R15... Rode Karizma some 43000 kms and sold off rather cheaply. First thing i did was got myself an R15.

Believe me i have been a happy man ever since and the odo reads @52000 (14K from previous owner)..

Apache 200 should be better than the pulsar series. Not sure how well have they managed the vibrations on the new one.
Other than vibrations on the old models of Apache, it was a pretty good street bike.
The TVS service centers are good at some places and bad at some. So you just have to find the one that satisfies you.
Take test rides and then decide.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Apache would be better choice than PL as it has better refined engine and in 200ccRTR they have done good job on vibration issue, also ABS is there.
in 200cc segment i think it 200rtr is the best machine as the name rtr already proved the capability in the market.
This bike has many good feature and nice ergonomic and you have option to go with Pirelli tyres.
look wise it is totally different from older release as its got better fuel tank design, mono suspension in the rear and 130 rear tyre.

Thanks everyone for your inputs.. I checked at showroom in Pune and they have told me to wait for another month before TD is available.. Lets see how it feeds when riding it.. I believe ABS + Pirelli + FI will have to wait few more months.. But this wait seems worth right now, unless we see Mojo, Ninja, R3 being offered with ABS.. (FYI, I am looking for 200-300cc segment but ABS is topmost priority..)

            Cheers,

RTR 200 will be hit , i have some friends who rode it, as per them vibration issue gone and bike is awesome.
I personally did not like RTR design which is in rtr 160 or 180 because if i am spending 1 Lac i would expect mono suspension , wide rear tyre
Design wise 2004v is impressed me and i am also planning to buy this baby
