  • Most comfortable commuter bike

Hello everyone, I need help for buying a new bike. I already own Gixxer but I am planning to sell it as I don't find its seat to be comfortable, its giving me lower back pain and also some pain in groin area).
I tried adjusting its suspension to soft but still it's not comfortable.

    Here's little info:-
Daily running - 50 km in city (80% urban 20% rural rough roads)

    Height - 5'10
    Requirement - comfortable ride
    City - Delhi

Do you guys think changing bike will help me ?
Please suggest some bikes which gives most comfortable ride in city and on rough roads.

    Thanks.

    What is your budget?
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

      Hi Neeraj, Welcome to XBhp.
Did you own any bike before Gixxer?
Even if you change the bike, what if you face the same problem with newer bike.
May be some stretching exercises might help in relaxing your muscles.
Hero Impulse is a good motorcycle, which can be ridden very comfortably both on city & rough roads.

Hi Neeraj, I would advise you against selling the current Gixxer. I have 2 friends who ride the same bike. They are of about the same height and don't find any lower back pain at all. One rides 60km and the other around 25-30kms a day.

I too had lower back pain for the first 2-3 months when I bought RTR but then I started working out and as I got fit, the pain eventually subsided and after some time disappeared. So I would suggest you to work out and see. As others said, who knows, you might get the back pain even on a different bike.
It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

Very good advice Satish, I too had severe back pain because I used to sit in front of computer for 12-15 hours a day (in my job). The I started working out and all pain disappeared. Then I wondered why I was searching for super-comfortable computer chairs . Comfort is rquired and that does not mean you go to extreme for it. Better work on the real problem here: working-out

That's what happened with me, I used to do computer animation. Sitting on computer all day that's what f**ked up my back. I even changed my field of work.
Does Bajaj Avenger will do any good ?
