looks like your heart is set on V15. Visit showroom and check it out in person and take test rides.
There are a lot of good reviews about V15, if it suits your needs, go for it.
Take test ride and then decide.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Heart says V15, brain says Avenger just because of a little extra power. Thought Avenger will be comfortable for my height, however came across a review on a website where people of same height as me complaining about the back pain caused by the riding position on Avenger street 150.

I know V15 will be good commuter for city use. Just want to know whether it is capable for long trips or not ?? Being my first bike, I don't want to go wrong on this decision.

The first impression of V15 are good and promising. Hope it is a lasting impression. Not sure how capable tourer V15 is.. cause nobody really knows how well built and reliable it is. Only time and kilometers will tell.. But as long as you take good care of it, it should not disappoint you. Being a 150 cc it should easily cruise at 80 all day long, anything more and it will go harsh and rough. check out the motorcycle ownership experience section and talk to the owners.. They may be better suited for answering any specific queries regarding V15.

            Hello!

Firstly, try and decide on what style you are looking at. Your ideas of buying either:
            1. V15/Avenger
            2. Hero Xtreme Sports/Hero Hunk
are at crossroads to each other. The former being a cruiser design, while the latter being a sports/commuter bike.

Secondly, when you've decided your preference based on your physical (height, weight) attributes, TAKE A TEST RIDE of all the bikes you have finalized.

Thirdly, what makes you keep away from naked bikes? The Hornet/Fz are fantastic options, in my opinion. The Fz has been on the roads for quite some time now, the engine is refined and maintenance would be quite easy. The Hornet is based off Honda's other trademark engines, and is quite a stunner in looks. The Gixxer has its own positives, notably a torquey engine and good looks. You do not have to be an aggressive rider to enjoy these bikes!

            Goodluck!
If you ride like no tomorrow, there will be none.

There is no problem at all with Naked bikes like Gixxer or Hornet, But problem is with my Budget which is stuck under 82-83K Approx. :P
Anyway, Thank you for the suggestion.

I just want to know about refinement of V15 as not much info is available in forum. And there is only one ownership thread of Shadcool786 .

Also I can't TD these bikes just like that as I'm still a newbie and have no road experience at all. It's my first bike and I'm going to learn on it.

I have got thinking of my own. I don't want to learn on someone else's bike & crash it, leaving the owner in dumbstruck situation whether to continue letting me ride just because I'm his friend or Not.

Get a hero extreme sports or hunk if you want refinement.they would easily return 45+ kmpl and are in your budget.v15 is a good bike but bajaj has a habit of discontinuing bikes at will .

My opinion - Just as everyone has one so take it with a pinch of salt - Be defensive when you buy a vehicle which is one-off (like the V15) and/or has recently been launched.

It might give you a niche feel with owning a "different" bike, but as time passes and if (unfortunately) the vehicle does not do well with sales, it will only be a thorn in your neck.

That's also true brother. So what are your views on Avenger 150 street ??
I'm not too inclined towards Xtreme sports/Hunk. Maybe these are performer bikes but not a looker in my opinion. But if no choices left then these will be last options.

Unfortunately I haven't gone into detail about the Avenger 150. You should check out the Ownership Experience thread and read about it in detail.

Emailed Bajaj about the same. They don't seem to be interested in replying even. So i'm getting more sceptical about V15. Looking for the alternatives now.
How's the xtreme sports in 2016 ?? Bike seems good on paper. Also saddle height is pretty high which is in my favour. However i can't find specific ownership thread in forum. Other reviews said bike is front heavy.
If anyone has done td of xtreme sports, please let me know your views.
Choosing a bike seems to be difficult than clearing my backlogs of engineering.

I don't have first hand experience of xtreme sports but rode my friend's 2013 and 2009 xtreme both are smooth and very revv happy.handling may not be as good as fz and likes but still above par .I rode pillion on xtreme sports and the bike Felt smooth from pillion Seat.

Visited bajaj showroom today. On Avenger my knees were higher than the fuel tank. Don't know how it's comfortable for tall people. V15 however on the other hand felt natural. Seating position was upright and felt comfortable. Was unable to visit hero showroom as it was closed today. My job has only sunday off & showroom is sunday closed.

hey there, I have ridden the avenger 220 street quite many times, and considering i am 6 feet tall i did not have any qualms with the sitting position, neither any pain in my body, its as comfortable as an easy chair.

If you compare the V15 with the Avy 150 i would choose the latter as it has a better and tried and tested engine, good ground clearance, better pillion seat (v15 has a tiny pillion seat) , better road presence, and its a joy to ride where-ever you want.

The avy will also pull with more strenght if you have a pillion on board, therefore my suggestion will be to get an avy.
