  • Suggestions needed after a Yamaha Fazer

    Hi guys,

    This is Bhaskar from Hyderabad
well its easy to figure out. Why do people post about it? Now that I am in the same situation of selecting a new road partner, I have landed myself in that confusion as well. So please hear me out guys and help me with your immense experience and knowledge!

    Now, the story behind this:

I currently ride a Yamaha Fazer 2014 model. Had a terrible accident on it a year ago and had to undergo a minor surgery and they have put a bolt inside my ankle. Since then, I might sound a little stupid herethmileage, power and comfort (especially back) and a bit stylish ( I am only 24

You have had a string of crashes and you think the machine is to blame and that buying a new machine will keep you safe Amusing!!

Buy whichever bike you like, but please practice being a better rider. Don't just go through the 'what bike' threads on the forum, go through the 'Art of Safe Riding' section as well. That will give your parents real peace of mind.

    All the best
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

I would suggest you start from basic bike like hero xtreme or unicorn 160, even you can go for gixxer/fz, upgrade your skills and then switch to more powerful machine. Don't forget to invest some amount of money in buying riding gears.

Re: Suggestions needed after a Yamaha Fazer

My strong suggestion to you would be not to sell your existing bike. Rather keep it riding once you stop falling from your bike and be a better biker, else I am more than sure you would be end up wasting your precious 1.2L (I know at the end of the day it is your money, but since you have posted this question on the forum, I would take this opportunity to be your well wisher). Once you know that you a better rider and it was actually you who was responsible for those minor accidents and not the bike, please do repost the "What Bike" question and I am sure people here would be more than happy to help you!

        Cheers and Ride Safe!

My suggestion to you would be, Invest in some quality riding gears and continue riding the same machine till you become perfect. Imagine you investing in a new bike, god forbid if the same bad form continues you will be more disappointed than being a happy owner of a bruised new bike.
See how long you can continue on the current bike without being involved in these minor mishaps.
One day you will realize yourself that you have improved as a rider.
Best luck mate and stay safe.

I will do the buying "better riding gear" thing. I love the bike very much myself. It's my parents that are bugging me to sell it. But I think I will convince them otherwise. I just needed a bit of moral support I guess! Thank you very much guys!

I will keep it and with the money I will invest in better riding gear. Hopefully my parents will understand!

I thought my decision was dumb. That's why before going through it, I thought of posting here!

This is why I love you guys! Cheers!
