  • A good bike for highway cruising!

    Usage: city : highway = 50 : 50
    Budget : 160k
Options considered: RE TBTS 350, Yamaha R15s, Bajaj Pulsar 200rs.
RE TBTS 350: I owned this previously. I feel like stressing it too much when cruising beyond 80-85kmph.
Yamaha R15s: 150cc engine seems like a downgrade from 350cc, dont know about its crusing capacity with pillion, my friend owns it
Bajaj Pulsar 200rs: Concerns over reliability, worst pillion seat, my enemy owns one.
Comment your opinion. Suggestions are invited. Thanks in advance!

Your enemy owns one!!! What, you work in bollywood!

CBR 250 if you can stretch it a bit.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

CBR250R - I own one, and it's pretty good at munching miles. Excellent cooling system means you can tour at 130 kmph without a complaint.

Take a test drive and read ownership threads.

CBR250R if your budget allows it.
        else R15.

And with regards to downgrading from 350CC to R15, you do realize that higher cc does not mean more power or faster?? The 150 cc motor in R15 produces the same amount of horse power that your 350cc RE produces. And R15 is light years ahead of the RE in terms of reliability, build quality, tubeless semi slick radial tires, stability at triple digit speeds, sensors that monitor the health of your engine every second, handling, engine smoothness, liquid cooled engine, dual disc brakes, closed loop fuel injection system, aerodynamics, and it won't vibrate you from head to toe if you if you go above 4k RPM.
So forgive me but I don't see how R15 is a downgrade to RE.

Take test rides and then decide.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

True that, A bigger CC engine does not mean higher CC. It is about what they are designed to do. Enfields are cruisers and happy driven at 70-80 ish Kmph. R15s is a power package with all latest gadgets.

R15s is a good tourer when driven solo. I dont about the pillion comfort on longer rides. Inside, City, i felt comfortable when seated as pillion on my friends old R15.

              Hi,

Do think about apache 200 top model.

Pulsar AS 200 is another option with a practical pillion seat and it is pocket friendly.

I would suggest you to take a test ride and than decide.

I owned R15 v2, you will never feel that engine is stressing even when you cross 100 kmph. Cruises very smoothly at 110 kmph

              Cheers

You can't ride sport bikes like r15 and CBR like the bullet. In ghats, keep the revs above 4k rpm and you will be just fine. Stay in low gear, and rev high.

If i am in highway, i will ride at 90-100 kmph. Why should i consider cbr? Isn't r15 capable of doing such speeds all day with pillion?
