  • What bike to get in 4lacs budget

    Hi All,

Currently I own a R15 v2 and I am looking to get a new bike in the 4 lacs range.
I will be using the bike for everything (local office commute to touring).
Recently rented the R3 and clocked about 900kms in it. Felt the bike to be very good (This was the first time I rode a 300cc+ parallel twin).
However wife complained about pillion comfort as the rear seat is a bit hard and small.
There is a Ninja 650 (2013 model, 2000kms clocked) which is up for sale and seller is quoting 3.8lacs for the same.
Now I am confused as to whether I should get a new R3 or a used Ninja 650.

If I do buy the Ninja 650, since its a used bike, what are the things that I should check?
Owner said that the bike had a small crash where the fairings were scratched, however he got the same replaced from SVC.

Please suggest as to what should I get.

    Query Approved

How small was the small crash!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Yesterday went to examine the Ninja 650R.
The bile has 2236kms on the odo.
Not a single scratch anywhere. Tested the bike by riding it and didnt feel any alignment issue.
Planning to pick this up by next week.

2.2k km is really less, if there seems no issue, I would go for it, it seem to be a really good deal. Although what is the reason that he's even selling it so well priced?

The owner was diagnosed with slip disc and hence was asked to stay away from bikes. Since the bike wasn't being used for about an year, he decided to sell it off.
The owner of the bike is the owner of a transport company, said he priced it low so that he doesn't have to go into the hassle of bargaining.

Then go for the Kawa Ninja 650. Its seems like a good deal and will serve the purpose. Please do go through the ownership thread for more info and details. You can ask the members there to guide you.
