  • please help me to choose between apache 200 and pular as200

    hi
please help me to choose between apache 200 and pular as200

initially i was more inclined towards apache 200 because its
    having abs as option
but abs seems to be delayed forever(no dates fron tvs)

on other end apache 200 base version cost 1.07k
    and pulsar as200 cast 1.11k
with added 4k am getting extra gear, projector, more 3.5bhp with
    liquid cooled engine

my daily drive is 80km to and fro(in that roughly 40km
    traffic,40km open road)

my requirements is comfort and good low to mid range torque

    Query Approved

Both are good bikes and handle well. The Apache is better in the city, while the AS will be better on the highway.

The AS is better for taller folk, while the Apache is more comfortable for shorter riders.

The 4V has better low and mid range power, while the AS beats it hands down on top end.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

If i choose as200 how much I loose low-mid power compare to apache 200

What am saying is I will be in mostly riding in 3000-7000 rpm which one will be better on that rpm range

        Hi Uday,

Did TVS launch Apache 200 in hyderabad? If so, which showroom are you referring to. As, even I was waiting for a test ride of the same.

Its been discussed in a few threads across xbhp, Apache 200 for City rides, daily commute and Pulsar AS 200 for highway rides, touring.

        Thanks.

If you are a relaxed rider then go for the Apache 200. The sales have begun though for the carb version only. If you are looking for highway outbursts then pick the As200 as those extra bhp does matter and 5th and 6th gear are absolute fun on the machine. You might wanna take the As200 as the shorter gearing gives you adequate power in the cities and the higher gearing in the 5th and 6th gear will satisfy the highway bursts.

thank you guys for your valuable suggestions

i took a test drive of Apache 200
            few details are below

i actually got short ride, in which i can felt low-mid range power
is excellent, bike pulls well from 3000 rpm (which is my requirement)

gears are smooth or i can say over smooth or because of my previous ride is rtr160
actually there is no click effect in gears so thats why am saying over smooth

bike came with remora tyres which they claims are much more improved than previous ones and are inline with mrf
(i think that time will tell us)

suspension setup is inclined towords comfort

though i was very much satisfied but i will wait one more month for abs to come

            @jetsetgo08
i took price quote from susheel motors(sr nagar) through phone
