  • Difficulty in making decision

    Hi Guys,

I am in huge Dilemma which bike to purchase. Right now i own Honda twister. Quite obsessed with riding it due to lack of power and not well suited for little trips near Pune.

I like RE electra 350 as i own one at native place along with Apache RTR 160.

    Confused between:-
    Bajaj RS200
    Mahindra Mojo
    Suzuki Gixxer
    Honda Cb hornet160

As i am not huge fan of fairing bikes but i like RS200 look.

Purpose:- Daily commuting and weekend trips like 100-200 Kmpl with pillion.
    Budget:- Maximum 2 Lac
    Height:- 5'10"
    Weight:- 65 Kg

    Please help me out

I think only the Hornet would have decent pillion comfort!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      Re: Difficulty in making decision

Rs200 and Gixxer have no pillion comfort.
Mojo is a very good tourer, comfy for pillion with a seat mod or gel seat.
Hornet 160 is most pillion happy bike of the lot in stock form.

If you carry a pillion very rarely, go for RS200, good power and fairing helps in high speed cruising.
Gixxer is low on power and being Naked will face wind blast. With pillion, you will be struggling to reach 90.
Hornet has pillion comfort but still will lose breath with pillion on highways.
So your best bet would be Mojo. An all round tourer.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Gixxer & hornet if you want pillion comfort seating will be good. But in gixxer seat is bit hard.

Try looking for RE if you want touring as well as pillion comfort . mostly a single seat (means no split seat) bike only gives a pillion comfort.

CBR 250r should be a good bike with decent pillion comfort along with high speed rideability.

            Thanks Ankey for support.

BTW I took test drive of RE Himalayan and RS200. I think my heart says go for RE Himalayan without thinking much. But mind says let try racing sport bike this time.

As i am not very huge fan of fairing bike due to less ability of commuting in city traffic. But in case of Himalayan i am just amazed with the ride experience.

So guys help me through this decision also the waiting time is killing me for Himalayan as 2 months in pune along with RS200 and mojo Readily available. So is it really worth to wait so long as i am not very patience.

Brother, if you have your heart set on Himalayan, 2 months waiting time should be worth it.
If I were in your shoes, I would gladly wait 2 months to get my dream bike, rather than buying something right now and then always longing for it when I spot one on the road. Think about it, if you wait 2 months you will get your dream bike, but if you buy anything else every time you spot the Himalayan on road, you will feel bad. Just my opinion. Choose wisely brother. Ride safe.

If you need the bike right now for commuting to office or wherever, don't wait buy a bike now. But, You said you already have the Twister and RE at your disposal. So, I think you can easily wait for the Himalayan in your case.

Benellie TNT25? Did you consider? It's a good bike mate, if you can live with the lack of service centres.
