  • Help me buy my first bike

    Hello team,

    Help me decide buying my first bike. Budget is around 1.5L (+/-15k). These are my options Duke 200, RE classic, thunderbird.

    I personally prefer Duke 200 over the others. Please let me know if there is any other options with the price range mentioned.

    Thank you!

    The three bikes you have listed are vastly different from each other.

    What exactly do you want a bike for? Requirements, usage etc.
    Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

    Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      I tour a lot. That's my main purpose to get a bike. I have done a few long distance trips with my friend's bike. A bike good for touring and everyday office commute of 5 to 10 kilometres is what I am looking for. If you have other options, please do suggest.

        If you prefer Duke 200, then go on with your decision. The deal breaker may be low tank range, shorter gearing and stiff ride. If you can live with it, get your pocket rocket.

          For touring at your budget, do consider CBR250R. Even though it's old, it's a proven bike. Handling in traffic is something you can adjust to. I, and many CBR owners use the bike for commuting too.

          Advantage of the CBR over the Duke 200 and RE350 and RE500 are -

          * Better touring speeds
          * Tubeless tyres
          * 300-400 kms tank range
