    Query Approved

Going by your requirements, get the Gixxer if you like it. A capable bike. Do read the owner reviews for the bike as well. For the Hornet also
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

In between your choices Honda Hornet but I would recommend take a look at TVS RTR200 they might go little over your budget but its most bang for the buck.
Other wise take the Hornet and buy some riding gear.

I don't know much about these bikes, but when it comes to height, don't worry too much, its a lot easier to manage than you would realise. I'm 5'5", and I bought an RC 390 for my first bike, which has a seat height of 820mm. Gixxer is 780mm, so don't worry at all about the height, don't let that hinder you

It's good to know you are managing on 390,
I am 5.6 with 800 mm saddle height of RTR 200, I too can manage (can touch both feet partially to ground simultaneously at stand still)but feel nervous when there is sand/gravel on road and I have to put my feet down .

Given saddle height of gixxer (and hornet too) , I feel you can Drive confidently. Going for bike having saddle height about 800 and more will not give that confidence .

                Cheers .
Do Rev your heart in out or on treadmill After revving you bike's engine.A free flowing and high revving heart will give more happy miles too :)

Don't go with RTR200 if your height is 5.4 you won't be that much comfortable, I am owning one and height is more than apache 180 and so is weight

Gixxer is very good bike man, don't think too much about pillion, its not worse than R15
See these bikes are heavy so if you are planning to ride it in city in tarmac then no issue you can ride duke 390 also but if you are buying this bike for touring also then i feel height matter because when you ride on bad road most of the time you need support of your legs.
Don't influence by Tashan but buy the bike which actually suites you.
I would recommend you to try Gixxer, Yamaha Fazer, RTR 180,160 and avenger too if you don't have problem with bajaj.
