My choice would be, I would wait for the 200v ABS version to launch (if it is not already). You have an option to choose from sooper-sticky Pirelli tires as well.
200v is well refined engine and TVS has put lot of efforts to niggle out the -ve from its predecessor models. That being said, it is a bench mark product from them.

You wont go wrong with that, With your budget available, none of the above mentioned bikes has ABS even as option, since you are upgrading from a scoot to a proper entry level performance motorcycle, i would humbly suggest you to take the bike with all electronic/driver aids available.

        Hi iamcodie

What made you switch to a bike after riding an activa for a decade ?
If its the speed factor then i will suggest you to shortlist among the 200cc bikes (AS/ RS/ Karizma/ Avenger/ Duke/ Apache/ RE)
As these will maintain good highway speeds and return your target 40kmpl more or less depending on your riding character.
Yamaha FZ 2.0 is a proven streetfighter bike.
        Hornet/ Gixxer/ RTR 200 relatively new.

        Cheers.

if you need a bike right now. FZ is the answer.
If you can wait, then wait for RTR200 with ABS.
Take test rides before making final decision.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Well, He said 45 days for normal one and told 3 months or so for the other ones. Even the dealer was not sure. So, I dont think waiting will be worth it.

What exactly is elec/driver aids ?

Seriously brother, If something is going to save your life and you are going to put down >1L of cash, I would recommend you to wait for it. If you are that impatient, then I shall leave the decision solely with you.

Electric/rider aids here I meant the Anti Lock Braking, some high end bikes has Traction control(which prevent you from spinning your wheel) etc..

              Good luck !!

Since your budget is 1 to 1.5L, why aren't you picking Yamaha R15 v2.0 or S?
Advantage: Delta-box frame, Tireless smoothest refined engine, 6th slick gear, Liquid cooled, Fi (you can take it to Ladakh anyday), track purpose forward inclined seating posture.
Don't go for FZ S as Gixxer Rear Disc is value for money and offers much better peppy performance.

Well, I have heard that it hurts your back. R15. So I did not keep it in my list. And I am not sure about its performance in Traffic or City. Whether its easy to ride it in traffic.

Hi I ride a R15 V1 from 2009 and it doesn't hurt you back but your wrist as all your body weight will go on your hands (wrist) the bike handles like a ribbon attached to a stick and you swing it, it flows right that smooth and comfortable it is, you would never feel uncomfortable if your like 5.7 ~5.9 tall

Frankly saying, if you are getting used to ride R15, you will love flicking thru the traffic,as many r15'ians on road do, it is a best 150cc till date. Don't go for R15S as it is less powerful than R15 V2.0.
