  • Harley VS Triumph

    Hi All,
From my childhood I am dreaming about owning cruiser. Harley is the first name that comes in my mind. However, with the Triumph bikes in India, I am a bit confused. The following are the requirements Ave constraints:-

    1. Budget max 10 Lacs
    2. Age 35
    3. Height 5'11"
    4. Weight 72 kg
    5. Intended usage Highway runs and Weekend recreation riding
    6. Fuel Efficiency requirement , really who cares!!!
    7. City & Highway percentage usage 70% highway
    8. Approximate Daily / Monthly running 3000 km
    9. City / Town /Village of residence Bangalore
    10. Brand / Bike type preference it's Harley VS Triumph. Cruiser is the requirement. I can also think of tourer bike.

    Thanks in advance

    Query Approved
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

      Re: Harley VS Triumph

Riding comfort is the most important factor for the decision. Cruising character of the bike, hence, is the most important character to consider.

If its Cruise Bike that you truly want, Go for a Harley. Triumph Cruisers i think start at 14 Big ones. Unless you were looking for the modern classic criteria of Triumph.

I used to like Harley until I saw the way they charge for basic things for example you have to buy back seat separately you want height adjusted that costs separately.
I think atleast height adjustment should be default not an "accessory" considering the road conditions in India.
Now I like the Triumph especially the Street Twin in that range it wont be too comfortable but ride will be nice I drove old Bonneville once it was pretty good.
My 2 cents is simple test ride and also check what and all are costs for general service , wear and tear parts and decide.
