Currently my brother is using Bullet Standard 350. He wants to change the bike. His needs are as follows.

    1. He is 6 foot and 95 kg. So rather a big figure.
    2. Currently using Standard 350.
    3. Will be mostly using for rides between ernakulam to kasorgod or around 360 kms
    4. Fuel efficiency around 35+
    5. Budget UpTo 4 lakhs
    6. In mind Thunderbird 500

Kindly update abt other brands also.

If he is happy with current bullet, upgrading to 500CC would make sense. Go for it, if he likes it.
Other than that - Mojo is a very very good tourer. Take test rides, you will be surprised how good it is.
Finally the daddy of tourers - CBR250R, nothing comes close to the reliability, smoothness, technology and mile munching capabilities of a CBR250R. But being a bullet owner, you might think it as Jap crap.

Take test rides and then decide.

Also, if you are going to consider Mojo, check with the existing owners about the ownership cost. Since the tires are Diablo Rosso II, its soft compound and running on highways frequently might give a lesser tire life considering the tire compound. You can change it though if needed.

              Re: Bike for my brother

My vote in CBR 250R vs Mojo vs Thunderbird 500 goes to the CBR 250. I own a CBR, and I think it looks better than the Mojo, corners better than the Mojo.

The CBR250 beats the Thunderbird 500 hands down in the reliability and performance section. Also it's got tubeless tyres. Thunderbird has got looks, and exhaust note.

Choose which factors are important to you.

                Re: Bike for my brother

Since your brother has a budget of 4 lakhs, better go for something premium. Kawasaki Ninja 300, Z 250 are good options. For 2 lakhs, its Thunderbird 500 or CBR 250R which is the best for touring as well as long distance travelling. Thunderbird has more relaxed seating position and less vibrations than Bullet Standard. Since your brother owns a bullet, he will be familiar with the maintenance aspect. CBR 250R shows its age and we can see a facelift anytime. There are many other bikes launching this year like UM Renegade, TVS-BMW G310R. So better wait for sometime or go with either Tbird 500 or CBR 250R C-ABS. Test drive both and decide. Go with the heart.
It's not about how hard you get hit... It's about how hard you get hit and just keep moving forward.

Your story may not have such a happy beginning... But that doesn't make you who you are... It is the rest of your story... Who you chose to be.
