  • Buying the 1st ever two wheeler for my self

    Hello,
I never thought buying a scooter can be soo confusing. I am open to all the possible option if that fits my below criteria
    1) external fuel filler
    2) mobile charger
    3) 12 inches wheels(atleast 1 wheel)
    4) allow wheels
    5) economy 45+

I am 5'10 weight around 90 and my daily traveling will be around 70km (highway + city) I am not going for a bike as my family won't allow me to get 1 😂

Will be booking around in couple of weeks.

The New 2016 Suzuki Access 125. Refined 125cc engine and 50+ economy (Suzuki claims 63kmpl).

Also consider the powerful and superb handling Aprilia SR 150. It's got 14-inch wheels. But you may have to compromise a bit on mileage as it'll return around 40kmpl (Aprilia claims 53kmpl).

Bro I also faced the same issue . My mother didn't allowed to buy a bike. Myself settled for Suzuki Access first version. Rode around 36 k in around 3 years. After that changed to splendor, unicorn and now with Benelli.

If your considering safety better go with bike. Convince them. You can go for Honda Shine 125 cc which is so good to ride with the refined Honda Engine

I am more inclined towards the new access as I don't want my self to be searching for power for overtaking on the highways. Access is very powerful 0-60 I guess.

New Access meets all your requirements except external fuel filler..
If you want this feature, then try TVS Wego or Jupiter or Hero Maestro Edge.!

But I have heard that we can fit a full faced helmet inside the access, None can do that. Trade off with external fuel filler for convenience of not carrying a helmet. And I feel the performance of access 125 is far better than maestro, Jupiter is kinda no man's land 😂 has everything but still it feels something missing I have considered it only because of both 12". Wego won't go well with my size it would be a hatti cheeti thing 😂😂 if you know what I mean.

Considering all your requirements new Access would be the best choice if you can live without external fuel filler.
Other than this, ticks all your requirements.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Yes. But one of my friend scared me that you won't get parts of the scooter and the service is very bad. 😂
Why do friends always confuse more?
He is insisting me for hero/Honda only. Is he right?

Well brother, there is a huge service network for Hero moto corp and Honda, that you can find an Authorized service center on every nook and cranny of town. So you have options to choose from if you don't like the service of the present one. Secondly, the sheer number of vehicles by these 2 auto giants on road makes sure that the spare parts are continued to be produced even if the bike's production is stopped. With Suzuki.. not so much.

I'll give you an example.. I have a 1999 hero Honda splendor, it is 18 years old and I can still find spare parts for it very very easily. one of my cousins bought a TVS flame in 2007, can't find any spares. One of my friends bought a Suzuki Zeus, no spares for that either.. So keep this into consideration.

Hope this helps in making a decision.

Glad I could be of assistance, brother. To make your decision easier, do one thing.
If you plan to keep the scoot for really long time (more than 10 years), then it is better to follow the herd, for the sake of spare parts and maintenance.

But if you plan to upgrade or sell off the scoot after a few years, then you can ignore the spare part problem altogether.

Hope this helps to make the decision easier.

I have no idea about that, if my dad is comfortable driving a scooter then maybe long term, I am buying a scooter only for city commute and in a year or two will b buying a 250 cc or more bike for joy rides. That's what I have planned right now. city Rides ( traffic and mileage) are the two factors makes me think even after getting a bigger bike I won't sell of the scooter I guess.
Still awaiting reply in access thread😐
