first bike confusion : fz fi vs Hornet vs Gixxer. Help

    first bike confusion : fz fi vs Hornet vs Gixxer. Help

    Hello everyone. I am a newbie in this biking world. Very excited about this new adventure awaiting i am into some serious confusion about choosing the best ride.
    I have narrowed down my options to Fz-fi , Suzuki Gixxer and CB Hornet. I am 5'10" and need a comfortable riding posture and minimum possible bump effect (backache problem). Also pillion comfort is a must. Also the pillion seat needs to be apt to take my mother around for short distances. Fuel consumption is not an issue. Kindly help me with this as i am in a hurry to buy one
    Any other bike in similar price bracket can also be suggested.Thank's in advance.

      Hi,

      What would be your intended usage, if it is predominantly city, you can go for the Hornet, Honda engine with goodies to come

      If you like touring occasionally, you can go for the Gixxer. Sooper comfort while riding with the long single piece bar. Pillion will also feel comfortable.

        Lets see here, you have narrowed down to only 3 options and you have stressed quite a lot on comfort and Smooth ride as well as pillion space and comfort (correct me i if i am wrong). I think CB Hornet would be the best option. I know Honda bikes do well in our bumpy roads.

          +1 to Hornet. Ticks all you requirements.
          Take test rides and decide, and may I suggest you to take the person who is your pillion most of the time, with you for the test ride.
          I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

              Don't ever go for Suzuki gixxer if Pillion seat is priority. Pillion is worst in Suzuki in all three. In all three fz-fi will give you best pillion ride. Take the test drive of fz and hornet with pillion or if you consider RTR 200 then it's good.

                  You have your answer right there! try CB Hornet with a pillion and see if it fits the criteria!!

                      If driving alone most times the Gixxer beats the other two hands down (personal experience). I was in the same dilemma and now I have the Gixxer.

                          For daily commute and city riding with pillion, Hornet is the best bet among the list by you.
                          Avoid noise pollution. Avoid honking.

                            Though Gixxer is the more fun and involving bike to ride, the pillion seat pretty much sucks. Hornet looks better and beefier, and also offers good pillion comfort.

                            If you can extend your budget, the TVS Apache RTR 200 is a much better alternative. But be warned that it has a waiting period and may not be available for immediate purchase.
