  • Need a reliable ride

    Hi to all
Currently my ride is pulsar 150 with worst milage figures.
My daily commute is around 20kms.
My need is to choose a better milage giving bike with a reliable engine.
    Budget is also a constraint.
The decided list of the bikes are
1.hero splendor- due to perfect engine with good milage.
2.tvs victor- for the disk brake and 60watt headlamp. But reliability of the bike is a big question mark.
3.bajaj ct100- for milage point of view only also budget is quite less.
If there any other bikes please suggest me.
    My needs are,
    Should be below 60k.
    A smooth engine.
Milage to be considered between 50-60kmpl.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    -Aravindh.

      Re: Need a reliable ride

All the 100/110cc bikes will give that mileage.

      If budget is strictly 60k,
      Star city +
      Neo
      Saluto RX
iSmart 110 (price may go little over 60k, not sure)

If you're ready to spend little extra,
      Victor 110
      Yuga

        Re: Need a reliable ride

I have bajaj ct 100 b and it is giving me mileage of 72kmpl@50kmph speed(90 %highway and 10 % city traffic) with normal riding conditions. Once I checked mileage not exceeding speed more than 40kmph and it gives 81kmpl.

        Bike positive points are:
        mileage.
        Reliable engine.
        Good headlight throw(ct 100b)
        Value for money.

        Negative ones are :
Looks like a cycle.not good looking.
Handling is very bad with pillion rider.
Breaking is bad compared to splendor.
If you ignore handling and braking than this is the best bike.
I have also have hero splendour. Only thing I like in splendour as compared to bajaj ct100 is styling, handling, braking.
Hero Splendor giving poor mileage as compared to splendour.almost 12kmpl difference.
