I may be a Little biased here. Yamaha and Honda's were never VFM products. Although I cannot comment about the new FZ25's capabilities, I'm not a big fan if FZ series, just because of the seat height.

Second, My NS costs the same as a Hornet. In fact I bought it for 99,000INR two and a Half year back which is Liquid Cooled, 4 Valve Engine with Dual discs.

I've driven both the NS and Apache 200V extensively. Apache's refinement has become good though it doesn't has throttle response as NS.

Fz25 is 2 Valve, Oil Cooled which is not justifiable at the price point it is Sold.

Coming to Dominar, It has lighter clutch than NS. The Slipper clutch works. Has excellent Torque through the Rev band. Has Vibes at 4K to 4.5K, just like NS where it is present between 5K and 6K. The Tech it offers at the price is unmatchable.

The only foreign brand that offers VFM will be KTM. At the end of the day, buy what you like rather than others opinions.

A 250CC Yamaha will entice me if that was offered with Liquid Cooling and ABS even if it costs 10K more than what it costs now

Yeah also a 24-26bhp on the fz25 would have been ideal , but you can't expect abs when Yamaha don't even offer it on the r3 let alone the fz25.

Yes, I do respect your opinion and it certainly is different strokes for different folks.

Having ridden few bikes from domestic as well as other brands, I prefer riding something from the other market. Preferably, a Japanese. R15's chain never asked for adjustment, nor did CBR-250R's [they were replaced but not adjusted] but was bored to death by adjusting chain for the Karizma as well as Pulsar-180, same is true for KTM's.

Despite technological advantage and advancements, these indigeneous manufacturers are yet to provide a solid, bullet proof, reliable bike. Valve replacements, oil seal and gasket replacements are still being done etc. As said, depends on what you prefer...

Cheap and Fast is not Reliable.
Cheap and Reliable is not Fast.

In fact, the Z-250 and G310R's unavilability has made me look towards this FZ.

Right, They aren't providing even a Slipper clutch on 3.5L Machine. On my opinion, I don't need it to have high Bhp as that 2-3 change in Bhp won't make anything impressive. I just need a Slipper Clutch and an ABS. Abs alone at the least

I can't comment about other Pulsars. But yes I have to tight the chain on My NS from time to time. But considering the price point I got, it sure is a VFM product. Haven't changed Oil Seals. In my 2.5 year ownership, the only things I have changed so far are "Spark Plugs @ 15K Kms, Brake pads @ 10K Kms".

I'm used to my NS and R15S felt uncomfortable for my height. If you can extend your budget to Z250, then why not try Ninja 300 ??

Think Dominar is a VFM proposition. I am myself a TB350 owner, trying to sell my TB for D400. The RE service is absolutely terrible but I am not sure how the Bajaj Service Centers are either. Hopefully they are better than RE

Among these two go for Yamaha, think about engine refinement....And long term....
Otherwise there is a beast Duke 390... 2017 is even more amazing..Do a test ride if you wish...

A tough choice to make. Both these motorcycles excel each other in some term or the other. While the Yamaha has better-built quality, refinement and fuel efficient engine, the Dominar is no slouch when it comes to pure power and LED headlamp prowess. I would suggest you to take a test ride of them both and choose the one you like.

While Bajaj will be easier to maintain, the fact that they cheap out on part suppliers is a true menace. Choose the one that suits your riding style. PS: Both these motorcycles look amazing in white.

If you have the budget? Then there is no point in buying FZ25, get Dominar400 eyes closed.
