  • Comfortable bike for Daily City Commute.

    Hi XbHp,

I currently drive Honda Activa from 2011. My Office is less than 10 Km from home and activa used to suffice the transportation needs.
However , Activa has been uncomfortable over long rides(> 30 km) in the city limits leading to back pain.

I will be moving out to Electronics City. With no Metro Connectivity between EC and Marathalli, the only flexible option would be a good bike.
The daily ride will now be close to 60 Kms (to and fro) in the Bangalore City Traffic.I'm looking to buy a new commute that is comfortable for Heavy city(Traffic) usage.

My Budget is 1 to 1.2 Lakhs.

Requirements are listed as per priority:
    1. Bike should be really comfortable to ride over Good Roads/No Roads/Potholes.
    2. Good Pickup and Handling.
    3. Should be reliable.
    4. Mileage anything close to 40 km/liter will be appreciated.
    5. Can Ignore Pillion comfort. Pillion will be used only on weekends for short distances.
    6. Can Ignore long distance trips.

From the posts in internet, i narrowed down to few common suggested 150 CC bikes.
    1. Bajaj Avenger street 150.
    2. Yamaha FZ V 2.0
    3. Honda Unicorn 160
    4. Suzuki Gixxar.

Please free to suggest any bikes that meets the requirements and not listed above.

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
