Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

        Hi Abhiram,

Easiest way - test ride, test ride and then test ride some more. Sure its great to get the opinion of one's friends and the odd biking geek once in a while but dont use those as benchmarks.

If you have had previous experience with riding geared vehicles I would suggest the Apache or the NS. The Apache (latest iteration) has some good long term reviews but then in this case long term is just 6 months or so. The infamous vibes have been cut down quite a bit and the bike has more than enough power to make it fun. I have seen it on the streets as well and it looks eye catching.

I would suggest the NS for its looks and awesome mid rev power band. Owned it for more than 3 years and the engine just never gets tired or for that matter over heated. My only gripe was probably that the engine needs good care in terms of a good fully synthetic oil and the showroom guys would put their Bajaj branded oil which was horrid. Also if you are around 5 ft 10 in height then the bike would suit you. Some of my friends who were shorter than this did have problems in putting both their feet down at the same time and that coupled with the weight of the bike made it a little hectic to move it around. The latest NS looks quite good too.

The Gixxer is fantastic if you are into the whole fairing thing, a friend has it and hes quite happy with the performance and the mileage. However being a 150 you may feel its a bit under powered after a while. Though the same will invariably happen in case you buy any bike.

Classic 350 should only be considered if you are actually into touring and dont mind getting your hands dirty with the maintenance of the bike every once in a while. Its a bullet and they are fun to ride but totally different in terms of handling, braking and overall performance.

Do get your priorities straight and definitely insist on a test ride of each bike you consider.

          Hi Abhiram,

I would suggest you to first decide on the factor of sporty or classic motor-cycling.
First set of three bikes are more like a sizzling celebrity with lot of styles and cosmetics, while classic is altogether a different genre.

If you are more passionate about speeding, then I would say RE segment is not your cup of tea.
Personally, I have been using Apache RTR and RE TBTS 350. Both are unique in the attitude of the Machine when it comes to motoring.
Once you are clear with these, my suggestion is Apache RTR 200, if your pointer blinks among the first set of three bikes.

Wait for replies from the community members, generalize the discussion and finalize.

Wish you the best in getting one.

Good choices, but you might also want to test the karizma zmr. Cheap maintenance, comfortable, and faster than most in its bracket. But there is a bit of vibraton at high rpms...
