Re: Had enought of my Thunderbird ;( Need a new bike.!!
Not that I know of Arjun. I had asked about main stand fitting but the showroom people said it can't be done. At xbhp too people said that due to some component being present at the main stand position it will be tough to fit. But no accessories as of yet from Bajaj. There was some company which released Dominar pics with their panniers and wind screen. I think you should Google it. When is the delivery date buddy?Originally posted by arjunpaliath View PostBlood, Sweat and Gears - Enough Said.

The exchange price they told me for my Thunderbird was only 75k where as I was expecting at least 90k since my bike is not even two years old.
So I just told I will decide in two-three days and make the full payment depending on the price I give my TB for.
And they said the delivery date will be 2 days after full payment is made so hopefully by next Saturday Vikramaditya
Also planning to add the KTM Knuckle as shown in the video.

Re: Had enought of my Thunderbird ;( Need a new bike.!!
Just a quick update guys
So I got to sell my TB350 for Rs1,10,000 mainly due to RE temporarily stopping their production to update all bikes to BS4(not sure how true this is but the guy I sold my bike informed me this and paid for it in cash).
Because of that, I made the full payment today for Midnight Blue Dominar 400. The delivery is tentatively scheduled for Thursday

Hopefully my experience is better than my TB.
Thanks everyone for your help and feedback.

Many many congrats mate! That's a fair deal for the TB. Hope the D400 takes you places where the RE didn't. Wishing you many happy miles with smiles.Originally posted by arjunpaliath View PostJust a quick update guys

Congrats on your new true-blue Dominar! And thanks for sharing TB experience as well, I am contemplating a new bike this year, and TB has been one of the considerations sinc I really love its looks, but RE service and quality often disappoint!
Wishing you many happy rides on your new Dominar!

TBH I purchased my Thunderbird 2 yrs ago and was quite happy until a year, but slow small niggles started showing up. Each time I got to a service center they fix my issue but a new one arises.
It go so bad that I had to spend nearly Rs10000/- in about a week. And that was the last straw and started to look for a new bike and a way to sell my old one although it pains me to let go of it since it is a beauty. But with very very bad after sales and service I had no other option. And thankfully I got a good price on mine as well which was a relief.
Where do you stay? If you do decide to buy any Royal Enfield I pray to god that you find a decent enough service center.
And hoping to ramp up a few kms on my Dominar
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
So I am getting delivery of my bike tomorrow
I am so pumped up that I might not be able to sleep at all. :P
Once again, I can't thank you all enough.

Sorry for the low quality night pics, will try to take better ones tomorrow.
Take it slow man, and make sure to keep an eye on the KMs you ride. The fuel gauge is a bit problematic and most of the times it only updates once the bike is totally switched off and on. So initially it will take some guess work to get the fuel topped up. For reference my bike gives about 26 KMs to a litre, so now I know that after a tankful I have to go for re fuelling at around the 280 km mark.
Safe riding and do post your experiences and updates on the Ownership Thread.Blood, Sweat and Gears - Enough Said.

Thanks Vikramaditya
I realized that yesterday when driving back home with "For Registration" tag. Everyone on the road were gazing at the guy driving a brand new unknown bike :P :P. I am used to the fuel gauge since my TB's fuel gauge also behaved the same way so I think I can manage
but thank you. And one think I realized today when driving to work at rush hour is how seriously nimble this bike is. Really really shocked because with this weight I though it would be impossible. Other than the turning radius being a bit longer this bike is true value for money and I really hope this goes a long way coz man I am in love with my Bluebird since I broke up with my Thunderbird :P :P. A few more pics

Re: Had enought of my Thunderbird ;( Need a new bike.!!
I know what you mean about the weight buddy. Once you get moving, the bike can be flicked easily between traffic. And yes, enjoy the attention while the bike is rare in the first few months.Originally posted by arjunpaliath View PostThanks @Vikramaditya
