  • Advice on restoring unicorn 150 or new 110 bike

This is my dad's unicorn 150 bought in 2008 September I guess. It has easily crossed 3lk kms and has undergone three new bored😝, now it's drinking a liter of engine oil for 15days and a new plug every 3 days so need to get a new bore or a new 110cc bike. If he's going for a new bike I'll definitely ask him to take any Honda commuter which BTW cost a min of 60k on road or a cheaper option would be our beloved Bajaj CT 100 cost between 38 to 44k[emoji3].

If he gets a new bore kit and new body cowls, front disc, speedometer, fairing mask, indicators cost would come to 20k with almost new unicorn 😏.

Problem is there's a lot of negative reviews about the Honda commuter bike and also the actual mileage is only 50 to 60 with rare case of above 60[emoji46] . It's really shocking to see a 110 bike deliver such low mileage. But such cases of low mileage on a bajaj bikes is very less but the only issue is brand and cost cutting.

Well this is my dilemma. Right now he's not in a situation to buy a new one and I'm not in a situation to sponser him as I myself am waiting to exchange my beloved 220 to a d250 and it'll be very difficult for me to wait for another 4 to 5 months by which I can arrange the cash for my dad's bike.

So quicker option would be to get the ct100 for 42k or get a new bore for uni. But is it worth to again spend on that bike.?
Also how much can we fetch for the unicorn which produces a train load of white smoke[emoji85] ?

All this stuff has created a mixture in my head and not able to decide which one. Though Dad has not asked me for the bike but I can't change mine when his bike is in that situation.
