  • Bike For Daily Commute

I have a 2002 pulsar 150 that is going to complete 15 years this June. With the ngt ban on 15+ years vehicles, I was thinking of buying a new bike. I have a budget of around 60k and have to buy a new bike.
    The requirements are -
    1. Front Disc brake
    2. Comfort
    3. Should be easy on maintenance ( as I am starting my first job)
    4. Stress-free in the range of 55-65 km/hr

I have to travel 45 km daily (Delhi Gurgaon Delhi), so a bike with good low end would be beneficial due to the traffic.

Any suggestions on what are my options in this budget

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Honda Shine, for that travel, it should give you a good mileage and since your budget is a little less compared to the bikes available currently in the market, i could not think of any other bikes suiting your requirements.
      R15S - Current
      Honda Dio - Current
      TNT 600i - Sold
      Classic 500 - Sold
      Pulsar 220 dtsi - Sold
      Yamaha YBX125 - Sold

Cheapest bike with front disc would be Passion Pro and Victor 110. Victor would be better between the two, take a ride and decide.

Since you have been riding a higher cc bike, I don't know if you would find these puny 100-110cc bike okay.

Honda Shine would fit inside your budget and will check all your requirements. The new ones come with a 5 speed gearbox, which is a boon on highway rides. The Japanese quality will ensure a long a niggle free ownership and a fill it and forget it attitude. All in all a very good commuter.

Other options include TVS Victor, another very good and reliable commuter, looks big but is light and trouble free.

Yamaha Saluto is another option if you want something unique, As always, Japanese tech ensures very good build quality but the service centers are a big let down in most areas.

Take test rides and then decide.

I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

You can opt for Honda Livo or Yamaha Saluto.
Both of them will fall around your budget, is comfortable, light and offers very good reliability. Also, for both of them, the power output is just optimal, so will return you a very good FE.
Take test rides for both and decide.

Seems like bikes are cheaper in Delhi than Tamilnadu. Victor here costs about 66k

                I would recommend Bajaj V15.
Very comfy, has everything you mentioned.

Since you are coming form a pulsar 150 this would be the best choice as other 110cc and 125cc bike would be underpowered.

Unlike other bajaj commuters V15 looks quite premium has good low end punch too.
                Easy on pocket.

                👍
                Cheers.

The thing is v15 is 70k+ and would be out of my budget at this point of time, so that's why looking for 110 cc bikes
