  • Looking for my first second hand bike

I am a 19 year old living in mumbai, looking for a good reliable second hand bike I'm approximately 5ft11inch with around 87kg weight. I have a budget constrain of 25k-40k
with a good fuel efficiency so that i can commute daily which is around 26 km
I loved the hero impulse but as production stopped and its very difficult to find a second hand hero impulse i don't know which one to buy
currently I have a gear less tvs streak with which i run errands
I am quite into adventure so power would really give me some thrill and will surely love to explore india with the bike i buy so it should be reliable for long rides too
with that if any one can provide addresses of second hand motorcycle dealers which are reliable to buy from

    Thank you
will be waiting eagerly for any guidance !

If i were you I'd go for a Hero / Hero Honda Karizma R which is a great tourer and have a good FE. I have riden it in a couple of KMs (When i didn't have any for my own) . Look for a 2013 model under 30k odo. I think it'll be easy to find one there in Mumbai.

Kari best bike ever, really wished they have 6 gears but 5 gears are good enough. Go for Kari r, makhaan engine, I owned a 2003 model for 5 years, excellent engine,

It have about 45Kmpl mileage. For a 225Cc engine it is very better.

Check out for the Honda Unicorn/Yamaha FZ. Since your bike will be second had, you'll need as much low maintenance as possible. Trust me, both these bikes are gems and will not give you trouble. Has sufficient power and smooth engines. Would have suggested GS150 too but finding spares will pose a problem.

Re: Looking for my first second hand bike

                Hi,

If you want fuel efficiency forget Karizma. At worst it may give you 25km sometimes. The spares costs a bomb for Karizma. Not at all recommended if you want FE, also the same with FZ series.

Karizma is only for passionate riders. Its a good bike which ticks all boxes except for the above mentioned points.

I suggest you to have a look at Unicorn/CB Trigger. CB trigger is definitely better than old Unicorn. Also if you can find a Uni160 in your budget. Just go for it..!!!

I am Pulsar 150 owner and its not bad and done touring on it number of times
