  • Which one to buy -> Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS or Honda CB Shine SP ?

    Hello everyone,

I am a college student and am looking to buy my first bike, I'm a bit confused and need your help.
I don't know much about bikes and need some guidance.

I am looking to buy a reliable and comfortable daily city commuter ( < 150 cc) with a decent mileage(about 55-60 kmpl). The bike should be comfortable for the pillion rider also.
My budget is about 75000 Rs.
My daily route is of about 20 km with occasional long rides.
    I'm 5'4".

I mentioned only the Pulsar 135 LS and Shine SP in the title because I have looked and test driven almost all bikes within the 125 - 150 cc range, and I think that the Pulsar 135 LS and Shine SP are probably the best bikes available in the 125 - 150 cc range. (Please tell me if there is a better alternative)

I have also thought about the Bajaj V12, but I think the Pulsar handles really well as compared to the V12 (probably because of its low ride height).

I really like the way the Pulsar looks (so I'm a bit biased towards P135), but I am worried that it might be somewhat uncomfortable for longer rides because you have to lean forward a bit.

Should I consider the Shine instead of Shine SP ?
Is there a difference in mileage ?

The Shine SP has CBS, is this a significant advantage ?

Or is there some better alternative ?

    Query Approved

If you like the Pulsar go for it. The ergonomics are fine, you won't get tired.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Shine SP is better. It has five gears and better styling. There should not be much difference in the mileage.

CBS is definitely an advantage. It improves safety especially for new riders.

Have you had a test drive of the new Hero Glamour (2017)? It has got some positive reviews.
