  • Counting Days to get Brand new ZMA

    Hi Friends,

I recently bought Rx135 5 Speed, enjoyed riding it in City Traffic however not long rides, I travel to my Office from Hosur to White Field daily (80Kms two way). Since I had given My Unicorn for service I planned my everyday Office Trip in my RX135. Riding RX135 for two weeks resulted in very severe backpain, hence I sold this Rx last week. Now Iam planning for something BIG, a tourer, perfect and most favorite - KARIZMA

I would be purchasing this bike next Month, just waiting for some more cash. Now I need help from all Folks to know the best HH Showroom in bangalore preferably in Banashankari, Jayanagar, Koramangala.
More over Iam very keen on getting Fancy Numbers, I want the Bike Registration Number to Start with KA-01-xxxx, So please let me know to which HH showroom I should approch for and I also hear that Showroom Guys will help us getting fancy numbers - Is that True ??

Guys I guess I have taken Right decision going for ZMA. However I still need your valuable inputs on the Bike.

      ZMA is the perfect tourer.
I am not just saying it.
There are tourers who just conquered places with ZMA.
If you still need the proof go through this great tourer Destination Unknown

While buying my ZMA I had visited quite a few HH showrooms, of these I found Sai Motors at Banashankari 3rd stage to be pretty good. They gave me a black ZMA in 15 days back then, when every other place was quoting a wait of 2 months !!

But they mostly register bikes with Banerghatta RTO , so you might not get KA-01. For that try Millenium motors at Domlur !!

Also I dont think KA-01 is a fancy number. I think they charge Rs 3000 or so for you to be able to choose the number you want, but it'll still be KA-01 - xxxx (which I believe is what you want) !!

Real fancy numbers are like you name or SEXY or something. That will cost you upwards to Rs 10000 I think !!
Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

The KA part depends on the area in which you live in. Hence, if your residence address falls under the jurisdiction of the RTO area code KA-01, then you can get a number KA-01-XXXX.
Paying 3000 bucks allows you to choose from the day's list of numbers on the day you decide to get your bike registered.
If you want the 'KA-01' part as well as the next 4 digits of your own choice, the rate is 20 grand as per the current rate at the Yeshwantpur RTO. Im aware of all this as i bought my Zma on March 10th and went to the Yeshwantpur RTO for registration

I was under the impression that 1k or so oughta help me atleast choose a number from the day's list. When i got to know about the prevailaing rates from the registration agent, i just took the number that was allotted to me in the evening

          Cheers !

Parkash Motors near Lalbagh is good..for the registration all you need to do is request the guy to register your bike at that RTO, however choosing a number will cost you 3K upwards as mentioned by Maverick.

I had bought a ZMA in Jan with a Reg KA-01-XX-XXXX and paid 3k, i was wanting the last 4 digits as per my wish, the RTO dint matter to me..The showroom guy (Nikhi motors) checked all the RTO for the series where i would get my number in the Day's list and sent it to KA01 as it had my number in that day's list
              All the best!!

Bike is for my Brother and he will move to a rented house in KR Puram next week. Iam not sure if RTO will register the bike based on for his temporary address or company address. I want the Bike to be registered in Koramangala to get KA-01-xx-xxxx number.

I will probably check with Prakash motors at lalbagh Road next week.

^^Thats a good idea man. I had to wait nearly a month after booking for a black Zma R. In the end though, I got to pick from 5 black bikes at Prakash Motors

One feels satisfied when you're able to choose from a few bikes instead of getting one forced on you. However, be advised that black being a popular color will mean a waiting period. And do check up the bike thoroughly before taking delivery !

                  Cheers !

                    Thank You Folks,

Also help with a Pre-Delivery Inspection list which would really help me while picking up the bike.

Thanks for the suggestion Kushal, I guess ZMA is better when compared to P200, I am not bothered about mileage. According to me ZMA is the best Tourer after Unicorn compared to any Indian Bike.

@Bhargav, wing_of_fury: A pre-delivery checklist had been posted in the Zma ownership thread, when i was buying a Zma myself.
Please do search for that discussion. You'll find a lot more than just the PDI list and it'll be extremely helpful when you do buy the Zma

                            Cheers !
