• Looking for bike under 120k....

Hi guy's.,

I'm looking for a bike under 120k. Currently I am owning a Hero Honda cbz Xtreme. I was planning to buy my 2nd bike by the end of next month.
Help me to decide guys.

Let me tell you guys about myself.
Age : 24
Height : 5.6feet
Weight : 72kg
Usage : daily min 30kms

Following are my requirements..
1. Budget : 120k
2. Sporty look. (if good naked bikes are also OK)
3. Milage : least 40 kmpl (because I'm going to use it day)
4. Must be good in performance & speed. (for long trips)

My friends suggested me the following bikes.
1. Fz fi (for its milage, performance & price is also in budget)
2. Gixxer sfz (for its look & milage)
3. R15s (I liked it but my friends didn't agreed to it because of its high maintenance cost & price)

Please guys. Help me to choose.

Thank you..

Go for either Hornet or FZ FI. Both offer decent mileage and riding comfort along with smooth engines. Gixxer feels a bit sporty to me. Take prolonged rides on all the bikes mentioned as sitting posture and ride comfort varies.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Thanks for your suggestions krishna77

One of my friends already own Hornet. So, i didn't like to add one more hornet in our gang.

But as you said I already tried R15 & FZ. FZ gave me more comfort that R15.

PS: Moved FZ FI to 1st on my list.

The Gixxer SF FI would be a good choice for it checks all your requirements. Make sure to talk to fellow Suzuki owners on the SVC experience in your town.

R15S is a gem of a bike and the spares aren't costly but the price is on the higher side.

If you can compromise slightly on the FE, somewhere around 35kmpl, RTR200 would be a very good choice. You'll feel like an upgrade from CBZ Xtreme.

If you do the math, for a bike delivering around 40kmpl and for the one delivering something around 35kmpl, you'll have an extra expense on fuel of around 10-15k for 50k Kms. So the amount will translate to something around 4 or 5k extra per year, assuming you do around 10k/year. If you think it's not a big bite on your pocket, you may look at the RTR200.

Cheers!

Thanks & sorry for the late reply @GandalfTheGrey

One of my cousin owns suzuki gixxer sf which i tried few days before.comparing to FZ It has some good power & torque. And mileage is also good.

My parents strictly said no for 200cc bikes (For some weird reasons).

Going to buy my new bike by next week. Now my only options are Suzuki Gixxer Sf or Yamaha FZs. Even for my first bike i never confused this much. Which one should i go for?

Totally confused........

Gixxer SF is Fully faired
FZ is naked

If you prefer rider & pillion comfort go for FZ

Whereas SF lacks pillion comfort little bit.

SF provides little bit wind protection

If you prefer mileage, comfort -> FZ
Style, fully faired -> SF

All the best to choose the best fit for you !

Never mind mate. Between the FZ and SF, my choice would be the Gixxer SF FI. As mentioned above, pillion seats are a bit high in the Gixxer. If that's not a problem, then you may consider the SF FI as it's the more powerful compared with FZ.

If 200CC and above is a strict no no, then why don't you consider the Apache RTR180 with ABS? It's powerful than FZ and Gixxer yet will cost you the same amount. Though you might find its seating position a bit forward biased, I suggest you take a longish TD, if you haven't already, and decide.

Cheers!

Thanks for so much for all your suggestions guys. krishna77 @grandalfthegrey prm_muruga

After lots of discussions, suggestions, confusions finally I came to the conclusion.
Today I booked my 2nd bike. Yemaha r15s . Even I never thought I'm gng to book r15s. All changed in last two days.

Last Saturday my dad came to me and asked "what bike will be your 1st option if you would like to buy". I said "well my 1st will be r15". And then he said ok then we will buy r15. Surprise!!! Finally we decided to go with r15s (for pillion comfort).

Toady we booked my bike in Maruthi Yamaha with down payment of 10k & the they asked time till next month 10 for delivery.

I personally chose Adrianaline red because it my mom's fav color.

If you guys have any suggestions regarding color please give me some ideas.

Once again thank you guys.

Yeah. R15s is comfortable for ladies who sits one side. Seating posture & height for pillion is also good. It comes with sarry guard but footrest no.

Below I added few people pics of my friends new r15s. It has sarry guard . if you are looking for pillion comfort with power then u can surely go for r15s.

Bike Alert...

Hi guys, after a long 3 weeks waiting finally the D-day has arrived. Yesterday I got my new ride R15s.

On Thursday evening I got a call from SVC guys, & I was informed that my has arrived & u can talk delivery. But due to unavailability of leave I have to wait two more days.

Finally yesterday me, my dad & my friend reached showroom by 10.30. I was eagerly waiting to see my new ride. The SVC guys are so fast within the time of completing payment & other formalities the prepared the bike for delivery. By 12 i got my ride & I named her 'Gotzone' (means angel in Spanish). Man, I just stood there for a min to admire her beauty & gently started her for the first time. Now she is mine. My 2nd unforgettable moment in my life. As soon as I started the engine I totally fell in love with her. My alter ego was like 'come on dude, push it. Feel her power' but I forbid myself not to do overspending for first two services untill I get a good milage.

As a surprise the SVC guys gifted me a helmet & filled up Gotzone's tank for first ride.

So far clocked 75km with my Gotzone. Pros I can say she got power, style, look, posture, comfort, vibe.

Cons - Felt light pain in my palm during ride. I have to get used to it. Other than that nothing to say.

Thank you guys for your great help & suggestions.
